He seemed to care about why l was there. Took to explain the why of my lower back problems

I have a rare autoimmune disease that usually takes 5 years to diagnose. Dr Kurepa knew the subtle signs. He said what he thought it was on the FIRST visit. Then labs were positive for this disease. It is called antisynthetase syndrome. Then I moved to Texas and my new rheumatologist was amazed that I was diagnosed so quickly. Patients are usually sent to dermatologists, pulmonologists, even psych doctors by not being able to figure out what is wrong. My new doctor is a professor at med school And he uses me as a case study. I’m his only patient that has this,

I have only seen Dr Kurepa twice so far, but he has turned me around with his diagnose and helped me become more functional. I do not feel rushed, or a just another patient .He listens. I am making him my primary doctor.

I switched to Kurepa after my insurance changed. I was diagnosed by another rheumatologist last year with an autoimmune arthritis, and thankfully my symptoms are minimal now that I’m on meds. But because my joints are now doing well, Kurepa won’t accept my dx. At least he’s still prescribing me meds. But I feel like he thinks I’m lying or something.

Having lots of pain . Had a Aunt with .Lupus. Was told by another Rheumetoligist I have fibromyalgia. I was disappointed the nurse did not call and discuss over the phone , please don’t send me a email .i now have to go get a 2 Nd opinion. I am trying more alternative means now . Dr Kurepa was not very personable . Was disappointed in the outcome .

The Dr did not give me much information. I told him I had already been diagnosed with fibromyalgia. I want to have blood work for Lupus . My Aunt had it . I have been having a lot of pain . A MD in the past said I had markers for Lupus , go to a Rhematologist .I asked for the nurse to call me , she emailed results only , never called like I requested .I was not impressed .He told me to work out more . I am going to a different Dr .they said I had some of the markers for Lupus, not all of them .

Dr. Kurepa said he would be calling me back with prognosis and blood test results. He never did. Wasted time and money.

Dr Kurepa was very good at getting blood work done to evaluate me. Very professional and i would recommend him to my friends.

Have not been able to see him! Scheduler forgot to enter appointment. also very difficult to get ahold of anyone in office. when i did get ahold of someone they would put me on hold for 10-15 minutes then answer then hold another 10-15 minutes then hang up and not return call. very unprofessional. The Dr may be great!, i will never know. but staff just lost this patient. had to put one star to get review in.
