California Orthopaedic Institute

The office of California Orthopaedic Institute is incompetent, they will not return your calls or update you on your status for surgical readiness. I had my 2D CT scan done for my partial knee replacement (manufacturer to print a part specific for my knee) on 11/11/25, got my surgical clearance 11/25 and called into the office on 12/16 to schedule my appointment since I figured they had the radiology reading. I spoke with Jennifer, (sx scheduler) only to be told they never got my 2D CT results. I got the CT disc and radiology reading from the hospital where I work at as a RN, and personally delivered it to the office. I requested to speak with the scheduler who was "busy" but would "call me back". I called multiple times to the scheduler who NEVER called me back. I went into the office on 1/7/26 frustrated at the last of communication and requested to speak to the ofc. manager and was sent the Medical Assistant (MA) who told me that my disc was never sent to the manufacturer. I then… asked to speak with the ofc. manager who apologized, gave me reassurance that my disc would be overnighted to the manufacturer and she also called them to see how long it would be to print out my part (5-6 weeks, no rush available). I left unsure that I would not have my care dropped, but the scheduler called on 1/8 and gave me a tentative surgery date of 2/25. I called again on 12/20 and this time made an appointment with Dr. Kansara directly due to my continued frustration. During my visit with Dr. Kansara, he proceeded to tell me that the manufacturer couldn't print the part because the CT wasn't clear and I would need a new 2D CT scan which required insurance authorization and another 5-6 weeks to print. He acknowledged my frustration, accepted responsibility but that isn't enough. What if they mess up my disability during my LOA? Needless to say, I'm looking for another surgeon. Sad part? I'm an RN in the same hospital where he does his surgeries
