Forgettaboutit. Lucky to even see a PA, much less receive treatment or treatment plan. The website show 9 drs. Two visits for advanced liver cirrhosis and couldn’t see a Dr or specialist. Last visit they didn’t even have the hospital’s latest blood work in their system. Fortunately I had picked up the paper records in advance.

Due to the absolute negligence and abusive “care” from this facility I almost lost my life after following DR HEALYS instructions about quitting drinking cold turkey. He told me I did not need medical intervention to detox and I just needed to willpower and he refused any tests or care or procedures unless I stopped. Immediately. I have been a nightly drinker (of a decent amount) for 10 years. I have had withdrawal symptoms before after 48 hours, but I never let it get further than that. He told me I wasn’t physically dependent on it and that I needed mental work to quit drinking Terrified I wouldn’t be able to get treatment anywhere if I didn’t stop drinking, I did what my dr told me to do. I stopped on the 16th and on the 18th I had 3 seizures for the first time in my entire life. I continued to have seizures at the hospital. I was in for almost a week for treatment for my severe withdrawal and had effects from it for almost a month afterwards. I could tell you 3 years worth of… negligence, lack of standard of care, COMPLETE lack of treatment, I gave seen 3 drs there since 2020 and NEVER received any sort of medication to help with my disease although theirs MANY! They only ever treated the itching I suffered from my liver disease. They lied about MANY aspects of my condition. They told me I couldn’t be in pain because you can’t feel pain in your liver. I was in so much pain. They told me hepatic encephalopathy had nothing to do with my liver disease and let me suffer through it when it could have been helped with a simple laxative. They told me no test or procedure could ever determine the state of scarring in my liver. When there are many types of mris, a SIMPLE BIOPSY!! None invasive calculations they could have done with the bloodwork they had and the results from last doctors. There was no dignity. No respect. They treated me like a useless drunk and they were going to let me die for it. Decompensated cirrhosis has an average life expectancy of seven years. Severe, untreatable diseases and other complications can speed up that timeline. Some people have less than two years. And they were never going to give me resources to stop drinking, and they were never going to tell me the degree of scarring on my liver so I could determine a life expectancy for myself. And any time I acted like my health mattered and I had concerns I was brushed off and made to feel stupid and ridiculous while they acted like nothing was wrong. They dropped me as a patient (I was obviously leaving anyway) and I just hope that by the time I get in to see my new specialist all this time wasted hasn’t cut my life short. Do not go to this facility.
