Haslett Primary Care

If I could give zero stars, I would. I recently experienced a serious breach of my medical privacy due to Haslett Primary Care’s mishandling of my records. Without my consent, they received my emergency room records—despite the fact that I have not been a patient there since 2019. I never listed them as my current provider, and the hospital had clear instructions on who my current physician was. To make matters worse, when I began asking questions, my patient portal with Haslett Primary Care was suddenly deleted. This not only cut off my access to records I needed, but also disrupted my medical care with my current OB/GYN, whose office shared access through that portal. It feels like they attempted to cover up their mistake rather than take responsibility. The entire experience has been stressful, violating, and completely unacceptable. Medical records are supposed to be protected by HIPAA laws, and this situation makes me question how many other patients may have had their… information shared without their knowledge. I have filed a formal grievance with Patient Relations, and I sincerely hope action is taken—but in the meantime, I would urge anyone considering this practice to think twice.
