Lexington Cardiology Northeast

Horrible access to care. I had a referral from the VA, waited a week and called to schedule an appointment. I was told the referral had to be reviewed because it was for Electrophysiology and I would receive a call when approved. Never received a call..... I called back 2 weeks later and was told first they didn't have a referral. Then told again it was under review and then told it would be 4 weeks until a decision was made. I asked, if I was to make an appointment today, when is the next available appointment with Electrophysiology. I was told my appointment would be the end of July. It is now June 10th. Therefore, between the referral review time of 4 weeks and the next available appointment being over 4 weeks out. It would be about 3 months until I could even have an initial appointment at Lexington Cardiology. This is horrible access to care. I wish I could rate the care received from the doctors, but seeing as how I will never see a doctor I cannot. This is completely… unacceptable. Do better. I will be seeing a different practice. I am sure you have fantastic physicians working at Lexington Cardiology, but this means nothing if there is no access to see them. Now, I have to start the whole process over again at a new practice. While in the meantime, I am still having episodes of tachycardia (SVTs) and my heart rate is dropping into the 30's (bradycardia) on many occasions. Lexington cardiology could care less.

Person who schedules appointment needs to improve her people skills. Not very friendly

I have a heart problem and elderly. This day I had no one to drive me. First, the scheduling staff told me my condition was urgent and needed to see me the next day. Then, they gave me the wrong direction twice to the site. I drove around for 2 hours. Because of my condition, I was exhausted from driving for a long time. I tire easily on exertion because of my condition. When I cancelled the appointment to reschedule another day, the staff confront me about the cancellation and scheduled me an appointment in 2 month.
