BEWARE. This reckless, incompetent “doctor” mutilated by father’s body — leaving him in excruciating 24/7 pain and destroying his life. My dad walked into Restore Orthopedics three years ago a healthy, spry and athletic new-retiree, complaining only of mild age-related wear-and-tear. He emerged a crippled shell of a person; tortured by severe, unrelenting spinal pain and neuromuscular degeneration. Contrary to Restore Orthopedics' proclaimed non-invasive ethos, this doctor’s first-line treatment for my dad’s minor neck pain was a highly invasive (and completely inappropriate) epidural steroid injection — the risks of which were never communicated. Then, he went on to grossly botch every aspect of the procedure: the placement, depth of the needle and steroid dose. He stabbed my father two times in the wrong part of his spine, puncturing the dura and causing a critical ‘incomplete spinal cord injury’ along with cervical arachnoiditis. At this point, we have seen 100+ specialists… (across the country and globally) and spent *hundreds of thousands of dollars* desperately trying to heal my father’s broken body…or at least find him some semblance of relief. Nothing has worked. Out of options, my family now faces a devastating conclusion: that the damage to my father’s spine is too severe for any treatment to even remotely help. His only remaining option for peace and pain relief is VAD: voluntary physician-assisted death. To reduce the scale of this tragedy — and the grave trauma suffered by my entire family — to an online review is, quite frankly, an insult. That’s why I waited so long to write this. But if just one person reads it and can be spared a similar fate, it will be worth it. Germanovich, if you’re reading this, I look forward to your attempts at gaslighting and denial. Go ahead. We both know the truth, and one day, the world will know too.
