Today, I contacted the office to request the prescription be called in for collection on my way home from work. The receptionist acknowledged my request and promised to contact me once she had located my information. However, after an hour of waiting I had to call them myself, I was then informed that I would be required to pay my $75 balance to obtain my medication, despite the fact that Okafor had already written a… prescription for it. This incident underscores the facility’s apparent disregard for patient well-being in favour of financial considerations.
