Springfield Ambulatory Surgery Center

Since the last procedure I had here, it seems that the pace is increasingly rushed. I took longer than usual to awaken from the anesthesia, and when I was, I felt like they were pushing me out the door. Further, unlike previously, the doctor didn't visit me afterwards, which would have been a bit more reassuring. The experience left me feeling less like a human being and more like an anonymous customer. In another time, I'd be unsure whether I'm going to use the same provider, Hillmont GI, in the future. My shoddy treatment may be a consequence of the acquisition of Exton-based US Digestive Health by the private equity firm Amulet Capital Partners, LP. As happens over and over, the quality of service seems to decline once private equity takes over a business and attempts to streamline operations in the interest of higher profits. This is a shameful situation, and there seems to be little appetite in either Harrisburg or Washington at least to regulate services like this one. So why… would I return to Hillmont GI in the future? It seems that US Digestive Health has a near-monopoly on GI services in the Delaware Valley region. In other words, I'm screwed.

My visit was great … the nurses , the doctor and anesthesiologist were welcoming and empathetic. They know patients are anxious but their manner puts you at ease. I was taken back right away. The procedure was 30 minutes. It was over before I knew it. The nurse during recovery was so patient. I would go there again if I had to get another test.

This was I believe my third colonoscopy at Springfield, and they always do a great job. They keep you informed about what’s happening and relaxed in an easy going yet very professional manner. Anybody who’s nervous about getting the procedure done, don’t be- you will be well taken care of here. Highly recommended.

It was great experience. The staff exemplified great customer service. They were attentive feom the reminder of appointment call to the follow-up call the day after the procedure. Each staff member did an excellent job of caring for me. Thank you

Great experience. Everyone was so friendly, courteous and professional. Scheduling was easy, instructions were clear, plus they called and text to confirm instructions and appt. Got my results before leaving with follow up instructions, called the next day to check on me. Highly recommend, they are outstanding.

I was nervous about getting my colonoscopy however the staff were so pleasant and professional they soothed my nerves. The assistant got me ready or prepped, rolled me into another room and all I remember is the great music they had playing lol they asked me to roll on my side and then I remember waking up sipping ginger ale! The Dr came in and we discussed the results and I was done. I definitely would recommend to family & friends Great job! Thank you!

I would like to commend the entire team for their care, kindness, humor and making me feel at ease during a procedure I was nervous about. Christy at the Colmar office is so friendly and funny! Victoria makes me feel comfortable at every exam and takes the time to answer any questions and explain anything I don’t understand. The Springfield team also took such great care of me! Grace, Alex, Juan, Jonathan, Mo (Maureen), Liz, Dr. Chan and Dr. Hopkins were all absolutely wonderful! I apologize if I left any names out, but everyone at the office from the front desk on made me feel welcomed and cared for. Thanks again! -Brandon
