Office staff scheduled my next appointment for July 4th. Needless to say, their office will be closed. Cannot get through on phone to reschedule. Went through 8 years of treatment for bladder. Had serious reaction to BCG therapy-Hypersensitivity pneumonitis-a type of allergic reaction that causes inflammation in your lungs, for which you should "call your healthcare provider right away." Did so, spent 5 minutes going through phone tree to get to choose to "speak to your provider's staff" 15 minutes , on hold before phone was answered, not by my provider's staff but the office operator who did not reveal this until after I had explained why I was calling, then said she would transfer me to "your doctor's MA". Another 30 minutes on hold then phone was hung up on their end with no answer or even an opportunity to leave a voice mail message. This is not the first time this has happened but it will be the last time I put up with it!
