Fantastic doctor., saved my life

Dr. Centeno is a very qualified urologist and I have the utmost respect for him. However, he can often be backed up with patients and the wait can be lengthy.

I first met Dr. Centeno when I was admitted into the hospital and had no clue what was going on with my body. Without having to make this long, I basically ended up having to have a ureteral stent put in while I was hospitalized due to an obstruction on my ureter. I saw Dr. Centeno twice I believe ( I was on heavy pain meds in there) and both times he was super nice and told me to follow up with him when I got out. So I made my appointment with him when I got out and he is the most genuine doctor I have ever met! He remembered me as soon as he walked in the room and even commented how I looked a lot better, I was in pretty bad shape when he had seen me. Just the fact the he remembered me and the situation was amazing, most doctors don't remember you very well especially when they've only seen you once or twice and in the hospital at that. He explained everything to me about my stent and what needed to be done in order to remove it. I loved that he was working with two of my other… doctors to get this done. He was not going to do something that would put me at risk of ending up in the same situation just because. He even left the room to call one of my doctors and when he returned the doctor had been out of the office so he took my information down and said "I will speak with him tomorrow and I will call you and tell you what the plan is". Well the next day came and guess what...YES he personally called me in the morning and told me what the plan was. No doctor has ever personally called me back like they said when they said. I am still working with him and my other doctor at getting all this medical stuff resolved so we can eventually get this stent out, but until then, he is great every time I see him in the office and he always makes sure that I'm calm and that I know this is just temporary and we will get it all fixed. I would recommend him to anybody and everybody! The only bad thing I can say is when you call for an appointment, once you push the button to request the appointment you are on hold for 15 minutes or longer before somebody actually picks up the phone, that's ridiculous. That would be my only complaint! The nurses and staff are awesome as well!
