I had bilateral inguinal hernia repair scheduled after my initial doctor visit and after researching the procedure I had additional questions. During my call to the only number listed on their business card (during normal business hours) I held for over 20 minutes never speaking to a human finally to get a recorded answering device and leaving a message. After a day and no call I phoned again, with slightly better answering service still followed by no phone call and this theme continued up to the day prior to surgery. On this day when my anxiety is really peaked, I was told he was busy, but to expect a call later in the evening. I phoned to cancel my surgery during the period to call and determine surgery time because a doctor that doesn't have time to phone and put a patient at ease will not be performing a procedure on me and regardless of skills has chosen the wrong profession. I trust this post will have the doctor reevaluate his patient service and persuade others to pursue a more caring physician.
