Dr. Douglas Scott Stuart, MD

Dr. Stuart is an incredibly thoughtful, kind, intelligent physician. He has worked with me through more than one problem and I have the utmost trust in him. He is a gem!

Dr. Doug Stuart is an excellent neurologist. He is a brilliant diagnostician. He knows the best medication to treat the condition he diagnoses. He is intensely concerned about his patients well being. He is kind and patient. I was blessed when another physician recommended him five years ago. He has increased the quality of my life more than I thought was possible. My overall rating for him is off the charts.

Everyone was nice and kind - very thorough and explained extremely well his thoughts. My therapist strongly supports him. My father taught him at Westminster Schools. He knows how to care for my brain. The people in his office who take my way of payment and are very honest and affable. I like the fish tanks as well. A space of many nice chairs in the waiting room area is easy to sit in. I have a Reccomendation for his services. Also, Dr. Mc. D (I'm sorry, I forget his full name, I have a brain injury..Mc Doogle?.. He's as kind as can be. He's a person who can be there me when Dr. Mc Doigle, I'm almost positive is his name.) Also, the phone recordings giving instructions as to how to get in touch with anyone in the office is very well-done.

He really is the best!

He has a great personality. He really seems to care about making it easier for me to deal with the impact that MS has on my daily life. He offers great advise and recommendations that are practical. He treats me like an individual, not a number, and not just another one of his many patients. He does not order unnecessary tests or make you come see him too often just to make some extra money, like some doctors do. If you have MS and you need a doctor, I strongly recommend seeing him. He is the second MS Specialist that I have seen. I am so much happier at the MS Center of Atlanta with Dr. Stuart as my physician than I was at the MS Institute at the Shepherd Center. I see Dr. Stuart every time I go. I am not switched over to a Nurse Practitioner every other time, like I was at the Shepherd Center. The overall experience at the MS Center of Atlanta is far better than MS Institute at Shepherd. The MS Institute at Shepherd is, no doubt, a good place for people with MS to be treated.… It is ran like a hospital and there are many middlemen between you and your doctor. I was not expecting much difference between the two Centers when I switched to Dr. Douglas Stuart at the MS Center of Atlanta. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The MS Center of Atlanta has a more relaxed atmosphere similar to a doctor's office; even though, it has all the comprehensive services required to treat MS.

First appointment - Dr. Stuart entered room, shut door and sat down, we spoke for an hour. He never questions my symptoms, as so many docs in the past, his focus is on my quality of life. You know he is listening and cares, he changed my life!

Although it took 3 months to get in to see Dr. Stuart, it was well worth the wait. He did a thorough examination, listened to my concerns and quickly addressed them with testing and follow-up referrals. Dr. Stuart was highly recommended by my primary physician so I went to him with high expectations. He did not disappoint. If you need a great neurologist, schedule an appointment with Dr. Stuart.
