These offices are a joke! He won't listen to me go over anything and prescriptions are a waste of time! 5 months later still no script! Seen him 3 times and had a migraine so bad that he gave me a patch. Took away the migraine, but left a chemical burn! Went in to show staff the bleeding and they kept telling me it was a rash! Now after being scarred for life on my arm FROM MY RASH seen by another Dr who said it was a CHEMICAL BURN I have no choice but to see this quack until insurance company gives us better botox Dr's. Other patients in the 7 seat waiting room in the west office and 4 people had to wait in the hallway because of over booking and 3 in the office hallway to rooms waiting to check out were all complaining about their experiences and the hours of wait times!
Every appointment takes at least 2 hours to see the Dr. for 5 minutes.
Terrible experience. Long waits, and the office sent in the PA for the first visit. Had to insist on seeing an actual doctor. Dr Yu showed up after a while, spent 30 seconds looking at 25 shots from an MRI, and just read off what the radiologist said. Ordered tests, never saw him again. The office charged $6000 for a $900 test. I set an appt 2 werks after the test as instructed. Spent an hour in the waiting room, was taken to an exam room, and then the PA showed up and said they didn't have the results yet. Charged my insurance for the office visit. I still don't know what the test showed of why the PA called in a prescription for a drug I know nothing about. Run fast, run far.
This has to be one of the worst experiences with any doctor's office. The doctor arrived over an hour late to a packed office within offering any explanation, or apology for his tardiness. Once in the office, the doctor seemed preoccupied, distracted, and in a fluster. He also had a very heavy accent which made him hard to understand. After 2 1/2 hours at his office, he wrote prescriptions for meds I had already been prescribed, and one that is contra-indicted.
Save your money and your anxiety and drive to California or go directly to the Mayo Clinic. That's the best advice I can give! I can back this up after visiting this Dr. and office twice in the last 2 months.
Only saw the doctor once. See the PA every time. Over schedules his office, wait times are always 40-50 minutes with no warning when you check in. Prescribed two new meds, believed there was a reaction so we called the officed four days later no return phone call and an emergency room trip later. Called today and explained ER visit and still have no call back.
Visiting Dr. Yu was a big mistake. He rushed his appointment with me (my first and probably last with him), and as a result he didn't pay attention to important details. He botched my prescription order after we went over it three times. He would ask me to describe my seizures, and then as I described them, he would interrupt me and put words in my mouth. It was so frustrating. Just let me talk. At the end, he started talking fast about how he was going to sign me up for blood work and a battery of tests, when I told him earlier I have already had these tests done very recently. It would seem that all he cares about is $$$! Meanwhile, the front desk staff appeared tired and surly, like they were just trying to get through the day. That didn't concern me nearly as much as Dr. Yu.
Dr. You is wonderful, his office staff is the most disrespectful unethical unprofessional I have ever dealt with. They are only bin it for the sake of the pay check. Have been waiting for over a month and a half for a referral from his office to see a surgeon, after I called to inquire about where it was I was rudly told that I had to go through my primary care doctor for one, then was hung up on. I never got to ask why no one cared enough to call to inform me that I had to see my primary care doctor, last word from them was we will get back to our Henderson office on Monday and get the referral in the mail for you. This is not the first time I have had to deal with the incomptenceitcy of this office staff. Not only are they incompetent but quite rude.
Dr. Yu has a great bedside manner. He is kind, professional and thorough. His staff is great as well.
Ordered over $2000 of useless lab tests, not covered by insurance. During my interview he continually repeated erroneous information as he was entering the data on his laptop. For example he kept saying right handed female right after i had said I was left handed. This happened 3 times. His physical exam was brief, not thorough. There was no follow thru with his office.
This is the worst place ever to get a call back. My husband is scheduled for MRI, and needs a sedation order. It's been two weeks of calling and leaving messages, and still no return call. Always sent to voice mail, even for office manager. What a joke.
I find doctor yu very professional and a carying physician
Well this was the first time I saw a Doctor that took personal phone calls while I was explaining my symptoms. I was interrupted several times then he started yawning as I continued to describe excruciating pain in my head. He dismissed all the medical reports I brought him and ordered an MRI and meds. So I guess I'll see. The weird thing is I was suppose to see a different doc and he came in and said she wasn't there. Why not call me to reschedule. I felt shuffled around and they seem uninterested in their patients.
Gee maybe I am old fashion but when I make a appointment (one that I had to wait over a month for) I like to see a REAL DOCTOR. Not a data clerk that asks me questions and transfers to a computer. I might as well talk to the receptionist . Then I finally get the royal visit. Dr Yu comes in smiles, shakes my hand and ask if I am being taken care of HUH? Well no I am not and before I can get a dialog going he vanishes. Not my idea of a doctors appointment. Not to mention that I think their main objective is to immediately assign test like the very expensive MRI EVEN BEFOR CONSULTATION,!!!!! This was done by the "clerk" so it was obvious what their mission statement was. I will pass on this "center" and continue to look for help for my problem
great doctor, though he is not good with his english speaking skills, he know what he is doing.
I was referred to Dr.Yu by my primary physician. Their office called me regarding the referral and scheduled an appointment for me. It took more or less 2 weeks for the new opening. The wait time was not that long, since they sent me the paperworks to my mail already, so I filled it out in advance. I was roomed in my the medical assistant within 15 minutes after checking in. The doctor came in my room afterwards. He spent time listening to my symptoms. He also did a lot of explanations. After the consultation, he sent my prescriptions to my pharmacy right away. The customer service is also highly satisfactory and the staff was so courteous. I would highly recommend this doctor to my friends and other people.
I was referred to Dr Yu to test for Fibromyalgia. My first visit the pre-screening assistant left the room two times, and when I finally got to see the Doctor he left the room three times. He either did not listen to me or he ignored me. He gave me two prescriptions. I tried to discuss side effects with him prior to filling, however he brushed me off. He sent the scripts in directly, and when I picked them up I discovered I could not take them because of the side effects. My second visit was to have testing done, that I thought was to determine Fibromyalgia, turned out that the test were to determine something else, I still not sure what, because I could not get an answer to that. The test were extremely painful, and could not be completed due to the pain. When I went back for my last visit to get the results, there was no answer because tests could not be completed. He referred me to a different specialist. He stated that he doesn't believe that I have Fibromyalgia. When I questioned how he determined that, and what about the test for it, he stated that the Dr he was sending me to could test for Fibromyalgia as he didn't do that test. He then gave me two more prescriptions, and would discuss side effects, and told me to come back in six weeks. I asked what the return visit was for. What would we be following up on, if he couldn't give me a diagnosis, or determine what was wrong. He then appeared angry with me and said, "you are right, you don't need to come back to see me". I feel that this doctor and the Neurology Center of Nevada is just trying to get as much money from people as possible, and does not care about patients or their suffering. This is one Doctor that I think should be investigated!
What a terrible office and even worse staff. I waited for over an hour past my appointment to see Dr. Yu. He was difficult to understand and rushed me through the visit without answering any of my questions. I am definitely never going back to see him!!! Ever.
My primary care doctor gave me a referral to Dr Yu. It took nearly 5 weeks to get an appointment. When I finally got in I showed up 30 minutes early for paperwork. Then I sat in the waiting room for nearly 90 more minutes. Patients were stacked up and very few were seeing the doctor. After watching others getting upset and leaving, I went up and asked when my turn would be. It was already over 60 minutes past my appointment time. I was told it would be another 20-30 minutes. I told them to cancel my appointment. When they asked if I would like to reschedule, the girl couldn't even find a future opening for me. I told them to forget the whole thing and I left. This doctor seems to be the type that replaces most of his staff on a regular basis. No one there really had a clue.
Great doctor. Very caring and takes as much time as needed
I have been to Dr. Yu several times. He is the third Neurologist I have seen over the years and by far my favorite. He takes time with me to answer my questions. His English is slightly hard to understand, but he is very patient and polite when I ask him to repeat himself. I have recommended him to my father. He is down to earth and talks to me on my level. In my opinion he is an excellent doctor. My insurance is in the process of changing, I am so thankful to see Dr. You is on my new plan!
This Dr. is horrible! His understanding of the English language was so bad that it took 5 times of me telling him my symptoms before he understood what I was saying. Not only was it a waist of time that could have been spent diagnosing my health problems but it was concerning that he didn't truly understand what I was talking about. He also literally left the room before I was done with my ?'s and did not return! I left not having ANY of my health ?'s answered. Finding a new Dr. today!
This doctor is terrible. He speaks english at a first grade level. The front office is even worse. Patients are an anoyance to them. The customer service was the worst I've seen.
