Dr. Steven Toenjes

Dr Toenjes is an amazing Dr. I was so impressed with his knowledge about migraines. His PA Eric is also extremely knowledgeable. I had excellent turn around time with a prior authorization for a medication. I would give 5 stars, but I have had an issue with a coordinator not returning calls and when I have spoken to them they don’t seem to care about concerns. Front office staff and MA’s are very nice.

In one visit, Dr. Steven Toenjes gave my daughter more information about migraines than I had heard in 20 years of seeing neurologists previously. It was very helpful.

Dr Toenjes and Amy are awesome but the office staff leave a lot to be desired and if you upset one of them you upset them all. I definatly hate dealing with them

Although I was initially impressed with the ease of which I was able to get an appointment with Dr. Toenjes, my experience quickly turned very negative. I had a very bad reaction to a medication that Dr. Toenjes prescribed. I called on Monday morning and left a message with his very rude office staff. When I still hadn't heard anything by Tuesday afternoon, I called again. I was advised (very rudely) that Dr. Toenjes is busy and it takes 24-48 hours to return a message. Although it was clearly within the timeframe, I said Ok and continued to wait for a call. By 2:30 on Wednesday afternoon (more than 48 hours after the first call) I still hadn't heard from him, so I called the office again. Again, I was VERY RUDELY informed that Dr. Toenjes was busy with rounds and hand't looked at my message from 2 days prior. I advised the office staff to remove me as a patient. I am not interested in seeing a doctor that does not make patients a priority. I am extremely disappointed. I have… a co-worker that was referred to Dr. Toenjes. After hearing my phone conversations she called her primary to ask to be referred to a different neurologist. This is a disgraceful way to run a practice.

"Try this if that doesn't work come back and we can try something else." Medication given to cure migraines gave me more migraines than I had before I went to see the doctor. Not very good in getting to the root of the problem.

This doctor was the only doctor who was able to help me find the medications to get my Migraine headaches under control. He was kind,caring and compassionate. I would highly recommend him. He took the time to listen and understand my problem. Thank you Dr. Toenjes.

The Dr. walked in with two other male individuals, provably MD's of some kind and after the introductions, he asked me to explain my situation and I uncomfortably did. After eight minutes in this joker like process I felt like leaving but instead I followed through this very confusing situation that I gladly left behind for them share. As of today I don't believe I will visit him again. But you know, someone once said to me Experts often possess more data than judgment, Get mad, and then get over it
