Pin point diagnosis, sympathetic attitude

I agree with previous posters - I would give zero stars if it was an option. Dr. Mitchell is dismissive, close-minded and arrogant. I was open to her differing opinion of my son’s diagnosis, but she was not interested in hearing his medical history or our concerns. She gave him a diagnosis within minute of first meeting him (though she later had to admit that diagnosis was wrong when I pressed her to listen to me regarding his symptoms). Her demeanor coming into the exam room was rude (bordering on hostile). This is certainly not an appropriate manner for dealing with kids with serious health concerns. The department should seriously consider removing her from its staff.

Stay away from this doctor at all costs. She is unprofessional, rude and has her own agenda. She has no regard for the children she works with. My daughter was referred to her after spending weeks in the NICU due to a subarachnoid hemorrhage. Wendy REFUSED to do an MRI on my daughter. My daughter continued to suffer from seizures for three months and each time I would call Dr. Mitchell for help or ask if we could try a different medication, she would tell me that there was nothing wrong with my child and that I was being hypersensitive because I was a first time mom. I received a second opinion from UCLA and was told that the care from Dr. Mitchell was extremely negligent.

Please please don't go to see this Dr.She doesn't look that she has any interesting working with kids,she refused to do any test to get any diagnose,she refuse to follow up with my daughter because as she said she doesn't need,while my daughter has one o one teacher in school ,so please don't waste time ,as she doesn't have any heart for kids.Hope she will leave children hospital soon!!!

I would give her 0 stars but that's not an option. Dr. Mitchell may have all the right degrees experience and training ... but she also has a hefty god complex that keeps her from being the best doctor she could be. She accused a family member of mine of drugging there child and called DCSF even though the kiddo had a negative tox screen and was 100% negative for all drugs .... The child was later diagnosed with a head injury (which she refused to test for because the child was "clearly on drugs").... But they still had to deal with DCFS
