Dr. Linda Maris Melendez-Torres, MD

I went to this doctor to get tests for the reason for my food poisoning. This dishonest ding-a-ling told me I was making it up and it was all in my head. She recommended seeing a psychiatrist. I should take the samples of diarrhea I have and dump them on her desk and see if that is all in her head. This is the most disgusting doctor I have ever been too. Sly, scheming, liar put false and misleading statements in my file. I discharged her and took back all permissions and signature. Don't go to her if you want an honest diagnosis of anything. She is dangerous.

My favorite Doctor has let me down hard. Without notice she has closed her office and did not respond to the refill requests from my pharmacy nor did she send the abdominal scans from Advent Health to my gastroenterologist. As of right now she is unreachable and finding a new appointment with an other physician may well be impossible. I'd like to know what she was thinking when she left me out to dry. I am out of 3 of my medications and I am at a heath risk without them. I may end up in the emergency tonight thanks to this thoughtless doctor.

I read the prior reviews and I don't agree because everyone in that office gives the extra mile to help the patients. Is not easy to find kindness in the medical field and I appreciate their bedside manners.

So, I had an appointment with the Dr for 3 p.m Delores called ME the day before to remind me it was at 3 p.m.i get there early, around 2.30 p.m and she tells me I'M late!"your appointment was at 2.p.m!" So, I played her THE voicemail she left me and guess what? NO apology and they STILL made me wait until the Dr saw the next patient! Nothing unusual really I find the staff at every dr that I have to be rude like that.as for Dr Melendez? She couldn't care less about me or my health.i always say just fake like you care, some can most dont.

The woman at the desk was having loud heated words with someone about not paying bills or having something turned off at the office if something wasn't paid in time, when I walked in the front door. Not a very good first impression! After she berates whomever on the phone...loudly, while totally ignoring me, she abruptly hangs up and continues her attitude with me, telling me that I didn't have an appointment to be seen. She was the one that gave it to me, not even a week earlier, after I sat in the office and did my paper work and gave her my cards to be copied. The other front desk girl tried to come over and smooth things over but the first woman was unbelievably rude to her and the second girl just backed off like she was afraid of her. I stood my ground told her I was being seen. She somewhere found my records and I did get to see the doctor, who was just okay. The other two girls were pleasant, but I will not be coming back to that office.

I got a copy of my prescriptions from the pharmacy and took it with me to her office. I recorded them on my intake sheet. I recounted them each to the nurse and discussed each one with the doctor. She missed two of them and has not filled another 2 weeks later. I called the phone service on Sunday to get one prescription filled that she missed, she did not return my call. I had to call her office monday and they still had not called it in. Then I realized she missed another one. I called on Saturday and the answering service did not have her on their list. She is not listed on Island doctors. She has not made any effort to get the third prescription filled. So I am without 3 of my prescriptions, she doesn't return phone calls and no one knows who she is. NOT GOOD. DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR. Either she has a memory problem, she's incompetent or she is just stalking her patient and causing physical and mental distress on purpose.
