Dr. Ali Rahnama, DPM, is a board certified, fellowship-trained foot and ankle surgeon affiliated with MedStar Washington Hospital Center and MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, and is an Assistant Professor at the Georgetown University School of Medicine. I had a bunionectomy and a pin placed in my baby toe 2021, Dr. Ali Rahnama Vaghef seemed more interested in having a patient to use as a guinea pig to teach other students different procedures, than actually listening to what I said was bothering me, and actually addressing it. He's the embodiment of the phrase, "everything is a nail to someone with a hammer". He performed a standard buinionectomy for my VERY light protrusion that could have been shaved or treated less aggressively. And he didn't address the core of the corn, so even with the pin in my toe, it keeps growing back. When I mentioned the hammer toe on my second toe, he completely ignored me and told me it wasn't there. And his nurse did a terrible job removing the stitches and left scars in 3 entry points for the surgery. Overall, if he's your doctor, consider a second opinion.
