Dr. Clarence M Leung, MD

After seeing so many therapists in the past that i never felt very connected with I was referred to Jacob and associates office by a friend of mine. I asked for the first available appointment with any provider and was matched with Dr.Leung. Their office helped me get the outside referral request from my insurance so that I just had to pay my co pay instead of paying every visit out of pocket. Dr.Leung has helped so much with my journey. I have had so much growth and more mental stability since I started my therapy with him. He continues to help me get to the root of my personal traumas and emotional attachments all around starting from my inner child traumas. He has helped me become a person with a voice for myself and saved me. After the 10+ years of on and off therapy I have had the most effective treatment during the small portion of time I have had with him and I will always be so grateful for all of his care, knowledge and encouragement.

I have been seeing Dr. Leung for a little more than a year at this point and boy what a difference it has made. He is firm and clear but always kind in his feedback. His firm, clear feedback has been instrumental in helping me come to understand myself and my mental health needs. I can honestly say that the information gained in my sessions with him, although difficult to take initially, was the key to my making progress. I continue to have regular appointments with him and he is always extremely professional during our time together. Because I know he will be honest with me I have not hesitated to discuss difficult topics having to do with my ongoing treatment. I suppose it comes down to this, if you need a psychologist who will move you along gently while helping you hover around the truth where you will one day notice it, Dr. Leung is not for you. No judgement, different people need different things. However, if you want to hear the truth, devise a realistic treatment plan, and… begin the hard work of dealing with your issues, Dr. Clarence Leung is the psychologist to see.

Dr Leung took 3 weeks to call me initially to schedule an appointment in Diamond Bar. He asked about my insurance, and when I told him it was Scan, he said he doesn’t take Scan and hung up. I phoned my physician and left said message. She called back and Said Dr. Leung does accept Scan according to her records and to phone him again. I did so, he calls and repeats he doesn’t take Scan as they ‘use’ Windstone ? for billing I guess. Checked wth Scan and they said no,incorrect I am with St. Jude with my doctors. Very frustrating when you’re in need of mental health. My point in all of this is, when you need mental health and ask your provider, waiting a total of 5 weeks to get there because the assigned doctor takes too long to get to you is unacceptable and leaves me back to stage one, finding a psychologist.

I have been seeing Dr. Leung now for over 6 months and I have to say he truly has helped me. I went into his office initially not knowing what to expect and within a few weeks I was getting a better handle on my condition and how to be happier and healthier. I now see the world much differently and I am very optimistic about the future thanks to him.

I've been seeing Dr Leung off and on for many years now and I couldn't imagine any better treatment. Dr Leung listens and shares and most of all when I've been "lost" he helps you find you way rather than telling you what to do.

Dr Clarence Leung knows what he is doing. He has helped me understand and clear many mental issues that has taken over my life. Clarity, acknowledgment and being content is what we are striving for!

I’m 33 years old. That’s not a long time to be alive... but I’d experienced more than enough. Definitely enough to convince myself of my own flawless judgements. My superior intellect, or whatever. That was a nice narrative to act out a decade or so. An easy roll to play. The alternative script is much more frighting. Therapy, when pursued without ego - It won’t make you happy - but it can help you become real. I’ve been seeing Dr. Leung almost every week for the last 3 years. His style may not be for everyone. He says things I don’t like hearing. Sometimes I want to argue.... and sometimes I do argue. If he perceives that I already grasp the answer to a problem but waste time playing naïve - he’ll wake me up with a sharp word or two. So - I keep going back - and it’s made all the difference. I suppose this is more of a testimony than a review... but I wanted to say that I appreciate you... and - thank you. Oh... and I’m only giving you 4 starts because you can do better... we all can… ;)

I had brought my daughter to see him several times before we changed doctor. Firstly, he never picked up my phone and never called me back for answer my voice message excepted the first time I made an appointment. All his answers of my voice message he gave me back were in our visiting time which was 45 mins valued more than $200. Secondly, I asked him for diagnostic paper that my daughter's school need it, he refused, he said those elementary school teachers couldn't understand the specialized vocabulary on the diagnostic paper. What a ridiculous excuse! If I had choice at that time, I wouldn't see him. Thirdly, he forgot some information that I had told him at last visiting time, and forgot to prepare some materials that he had promised giving me for reference. I can not stand this this kind of working mode, not professional and without responsibility!
