Horrific Experience with Dr. Ramsden My 75-year-old mother had two elective knee replacements with Dr. Ramsden in 2023, which ended in tragedy. After nine weeks of rehab, she was walking with a walker when her left kneecap fractured. Dr. Ramsden operated and wired it, but the repair failed. Soon after, her right kneecap fractured, and the wires in her left knee broke through the skin, causing a severe infection that required emergency surgery to remove the patella. Before surgery, my mom was healthy and living independently. She is now in long-term care and unable to walk. Dr. Ramsden later admitted this was his “worst outcome” and said he has since changed his surgical practice. Unfortunately, that does nothing to help my mom. I urge anyone considering surgery with him to look elsewhere.
