Dr. Goertz took excellent care of me through a complex meniscus tear. I did not want to believe the extent of my injury but soon realized after the time he spent explaining my options that meniscus repair was the best option for me. Surgery was delayed two months due to COVID disruption of regular healthcare. Dr. Goertz cared for me through the entire process and kept communicating such that I was able to get surgery quickly once elective surgeries were open. Although I was in a high-stress job away from family for surgery and the first two weeks of recovery, I felt extremely well-cared for by Dr. Goertz. Now I'm six weeks post-op, virtually pain free, and thanks for excellent PT referral am on trajectory for full recovery (I'm a very active person). I am extremely grateful to Dr. Goertz for giving me the best shot at a stable knee! Would highly recommend

I was referred to Dr Gortz for surgery on a rotator cuff tear that was seen on MRI. He did a thorough exam and told me that my pain and weakness I was feeling was likely not coming from the rotator cuff tear at all...I was quite skeptical! He prescribed physical therapy and had me see a spine specialist. They found a disk issue in my neck that was impinging on a nerve! This was treated and three months later I am pain free and able to sleep on my shoulder again. Thank you Dr Gortz for not just pushing a surgery on me!

Dr. Gortz was the best orthopedic doctor I could have asked for. Came to him with a broken leg and he helped me right after the accident and then a few years down the road when I had pain from some of the hardware.
