Dr. Laura Dee Addis, DO

Horrible experience. I never leave reviews, but I need to save someone from making the mistake of hiring her. Like others who have posted here, many of the issues they have dealt with I have experienced the same behavior. Her office assistant, Priscilla, is incompetent and is not suited to be working in a doctor's office. Laura is new to MDVIP and is so arrogant that it is nearly impossible to take her seriously. I have read that she is trying to restart her career after failing in her past medical career and is now has affiiliated herself with MDVIP to funnel new patients into her new little office in a corporate park in Henderson. Set an appointment to interview her and you will soon hear how she thinks so highly of herself it is laughable. So disingenuous and non-caring. She needs to hang up her stethoscope and look for another line of work. Look for anyone else and be careful. Best of Luck.

Dr Addis and her office have been so helpful. They are very compassionate and knowledgeable. I appreciate them coordinating my care across all the other Drs I see. They truly partner with me in my primary care.

Just about the time you think you have a doctor, she will change companies. Very cult like.

Laura Addis. Moves around way too much. The last time I say her I felt like I walked into a cult. Be careful.

I waited an hour from checking in to then when I was seen by Laura, the girl that did my pre check even told me Laura currently doesn’t have any patients at the moment so she’ll be in quick which was not the case. I went to Laura for birth control pills, which she told me she was “uncomfortable” giving me the same prescription that I had already been taking for 3 years, she said it was outside her scope of practice to prescribe it so I’m able to skip the placebos, which again I’ve been doing for three years. Her reasoning was she thinks it’s going to hurt my body, I’m no doctor but don’t you think you shouldn’t be prescribing things PERIOD to patients if you think it’s unsafe in any way? She’s not educated at all about any forms of birth control and her reasonings felt more PERSONAL than being worried about “safeness”. If you’re worried about patients fertility perhaps you shouldn’t be prescribing birth control at ALL. I will never be back to this doctor or branch again. Don’t say you… work with patients seeking BC if you aren’t educated enough about it, this was the only reason for my visit so it was a complete waste of time and energy. The entire appointment was a span of 2 hours, for absolutely nothing.

Dr Laura is very impressive.She is caring and so patient .As a physician i like to seek her help for my medical problems .she listens and sympathies and let me feel good every time i see her.

Dr. Addis has been my PCP for over 3 years. I find her vey caring, professional, and effective. I like that every once in a while she breaks out of the formal doc-patient relationship to find out how your life is going.

I had one appointment with Dr. Addisand I found her to be very judgemental and cold weeks later, the office receptionist called to say that Dr. A. wouldn't be my doctor anymore giving me no good reason. I'm not happy how I was treated, it would have been nice to have Dr. A called me and tell me herself.

I am very impressed overall with everything ! Highly recommend it!
