Dr. Abbas Motazedi, MD

Dr. Motazedi has greatly helped me understand what diabetes is and how to manage it. I advise everyone who has diabetes issues to go see Dr. Motazedi. He understands the challenge of managing diabetes and knows what to do to help you get it under control. Doctors must invest many years of their lives in learning about the human body and medicine, and I don't take Dr. Motazedi's knowledge for granted. Dr. Motazedi is someone I admire because he truly cares about helping us control our blood sugar. He talks the talk, but he walks the walk.

Dr. Motazedi is simply the best in his field. Knowledgeable, knowledgeable and knowledgeable is all I can say.

Staff was HORRIBLE. Rude, bad communicators, disorganized and rude, rude, rude. (I don't think they like their jobs much and are unhappy) However, after the 40 minute wait, the doctor spent quite a bit of time with me and patiently answered my many many questions. I didn't feel rushed and I believe he was hearing my concerns and questions for the most part. He gave me some new information on the dangers of the medication I am taking that I hadn't had before. he thoroughly explained and drew diagrams etc. If you are looking for treatment for thyroid disorders, you will find he seems to be the same as most western doctors- RI for hyperthyroid/Graves, and Synthroid for Hypo thyroid. If you don't want RI, this is not the doc for you. (although he is letting me get off PTU and see how it goes with reducing stress before turning to RI- as I am hesitant). Not into alternative medicine in anyway it seems.

He's awesome & I'd recommend him to anyone! His office staff I have issues with - disrespectful tone & looks of frustration with patients. But, still I encourage people to hang in with these ladies and still go & see this doctor!

He has been my doctor over eight years, after going to several thyroid doctors. He has adjusted my medicine according my blood count. I really appreciate him taking the time out to make me feel better.

I have not had a Doctor spend more time with me than Dr. Motazedi. He is extremely knowledgeable and his experience becomes very obvious after talking to him for a short amount of time. I recommend him to anyone.
