He's definitely in the top 3 worst doctor I ever met. Completely ignore what I said and just assumed what my vertigo symptoms are caused from and charges for ear inspection test which I didn't get. Tells me anyone who ever has a migraine is prone to vertigo and will most likely get it. Tell me the root cause is vestibular canal Crystal's are out of place. No I can read medical information to online too, but that's a symptom and not root cause you idiot. Other ENT agrees that's not the root cause, but a symptom of a root cause. I would never recommend him to anyone I've seen way better ENT who actually cares. Ruins ucla health dept as a standard and I will avoid going to ucla health period. Maybe you want to learn to listen instead of trying to over talk me when listening to my questions which I have. Also tried to get me to pay more money as he doesnt believe other test results I provided him.

This doctor is mentally sick predator. He is dishonest, sneaky. He deceives innocent patients. He originally said it was a simple surgery. I had 4 general anesthesia surgeries after he mess up the first surgery. It has been the worst nightmare. Never never recommend this doctor. Each time when i asked the cause he kept changing. At the very beginning it is from long time swimming, he changed to overuse of Q tips then 2 years later he said he doesn't know the cause. His abuse of medical jargon to a patients. What is the point..to confuse patients more to avoid liability. i read reviews of other patients called him mentally sick doctor AFTER my first surgery went wrong. His face is nightmare. During office visit he asks personal questions to make patient to deviate from main issue. He is very careless, unethical, unprofessional, the worst doctor i ever met in my life. i wonder how he still practice medicine... teaches students. This is sin & a crime. Absolutely he does not know

Now he said he doesn't know cause. He is horrible.. Never never recommend this doctor. Each time when i asked the cause he keep changing. At the beginning the cause is long time swimming. then he changed to overuse of Q tips then 2 years later he said he doesn't know cause the progress is still unforeseeable. i wonder he doesn't have fear to mess up human's life & body. This man with sociopathic tendencies is dangerous. His priorities are to benefit himself over looking out for the patient's interest. #1: He said a Mastoidectomy will improve my hearing. That was a lie. The Mastoidectomy surgery permanently destroyed my hearing & caused pressure pain in left ear. The pain has spread from ear to my neck and is continuing to spread. When I asked if the upper canal wall mastoidectomy could cause cholesteatoma, he said, "No". Another lie. #2: He said the Mastoidectomy surgery will be a backup surgery. Another lie. He had full intentions of performing the devastating mastoidectomy surgery. #3: RED FLAG. He had ne sign release of liability papers just prior to surgery while I'm lying down with IV in my arm when I don't have time to read it. #4: RED FLAG. 4 other doctors told me not to believe or trust Ishiyama, stating that I need to avoid the mastoidectomy surgery.

Careless, inattentive. Went to Dr Ishiyama for heaviness and air feeling in my ear. Performed hearing test, blood test, and MRI. He saw me for less that 5 minutes and said everything is normal. No diagnosis at all. When I asked him about the next step, he suggested me to have hearing aid. When I asked him if the hearing aid would correct my current problem, he did not respond. I went to another doctor and fixed my problem just by blowing into a balloon for a week.

This man is either incompetent or malucious. If you value your health, avoid this man.

I felt comfortable with him snd he seem to be smart and csring.

This is one mentally sick doctor. He is dishonest and he has the potential to hurt patients for reseach
