Dr. Alfred O Lee, MD

My husband and I both are patients of Dr. Lee. Every appointment that we have had with him has been thorough and informative. Dr. Lee not only knows his profession, he is able to convey that knowledge. He has always taken the time to answer our questions and help us understand the tests and procedures.

I do not recommend this doctor. He pretty much told me I was dying of liver disease with no evidence to back up that claim. He spent most of our time telling stories about the Civil War and his college days, none of which related to me. He wanted me to take lots of unnecessary tests and didn’t explain why. My mom came with me to this appointment, and neither of us were sure what even happened during this appointment. I ended up getting a second opinion and this doctor was so much better! He figured it out asap.

Dr.Lee is very unprofessional. He is not honest and he mocks his patients. I would not recommend him

Dr. Lee is thorough, explains himself in understandable terms, knowledgeable and affable. He is generous with his time and makes his patients feel at ease and confident in his guidance. Always enjoy my contact with him.

I find that Dr. Lee is one of the most professional Doctors that I have encountered. He leads one to feel comfortable with his care.

Dr. Lee is a professional of the highest quality. His knowledge and expertise are amazing. Met him in the ER at St. Francis hospital. He saved my life. I truly believe that it was through his knowledge and excellent attention to detail that I am here to write this review. I would highly recommend him to anyone that needs a gastroenterologist.

Excellent results and diagnosis of chronic condition that I have struggled with for years and no one had been able to diagnose. My condition has greatly improved and I am at least able now to hopefully continue to improve with proper diet and medications.

I was treated by Dr. Lee after being admitted to the hospital through the ER. He was always very courteous, thoughtful, professional and competent. His evaluation of me was thorough and he articulated information regularly. He was generous in answering my questions in full and his diagnosis and treatment were on target. I could not imagine a better doctor.

Dr. Lee is a man of few words, but he is very effective and professional. His adenoma detection rate (percent of patients where a polyp or adenoma is detected during colonoscopy screening) is 40%. That's "twice" as good as the "good" rate of 20%. So he is very thorough. Also, he is very good to his staff, according to one staff member I talked with. I highly recommend Dr. Lee.
