Dr. Alison Ehrlich, MD

For decades I have been needing a dermatologist like Dr. Ehrlich and my new internist recommended her to me. Finally I have someone who knows all about psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. In the last six months she has helped calm my symptoms with a few prescriptions. It’s really life changing - I’m not in pain anymore! My skin doesn’t sting or burn and my bones rarely hurt. I wasn’t sure I could be helped and thought my life would be full of pain for years to come. I’m a person who cannot take Biologics so she worked around that and I am really improving :-))) Dr. Ehrlich really listens and has a very nice manner. Her office is clean and bright (and of course Covid-careful), and her staff are really pleasant. Parking is a breeze. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Ehrlich and am soooo grateful to be in her care. Five stars aren’t enough. ??

I was referred to Dr. Ehrlich because I have contact dermatitis and eczema. My former dermatologist who used to give me a steroid shot every 6-8 months retired. A dermatologist he referred me to wouldn't give me a steroid shot because of the pandemic not wanting to compromise my immune system and I get that, but what can I do? He referred me to Dr. Ehrlich because he said I was "too complicated". She is a researcher and said that before we decide about steroid shots of Dupixent or another drug, she would do patch testing of fragrances, parabens, and all the ingredients you find in shampoos, conditioners, body washes, face creams and body lotions, make-up, etc. I knew I had allergies and eczema because I was born with them. But I never knew how bad my allergies were. She sent the results to a Dermatology group that determined what products are safe for me that do not include any fragrances, paragons, tocopherols (vitamin E), and all the other things to which I am allergic. I ended… up throwing out or giving away all my shampoos, conditioners, body washes, expensive face creams and eye creams, make-up, everything. I went on line and replaced everything with products I could use. I wanted to use only items on the safe list so if there was a reaction, I would know it wasn't from one of my old products because there still may be someting in one of the new products for which Dr. Ehrlich did not test and I could still have a reaction. I was skeptical, but I'm a very happy camper. My eyelids are no longer swollen and peeling and I only put steroid cream on a persistent small patch on one eyelid as needed instead of all over both eyelids twice day. My contact dermatitis is basically now under control and I can even wear makeup although I only do on special occasions. I still have some eczema but it's hormonal and not caused by things I was using that caused contact dermatitis. I told her I was skeptical about all this, but I'm so surprised that it's worked and I'm so much better. Basically, I can control my eczema now topically. When the pandemic is over and I can have a vaccine for corona virus, we can then talk about steroid shots or biologics to control the rest of my eczema. Oh and she's great, she listened to my story, my history, and really paid attention to my concerns. Being a former nurse, I have kept good records on my history and how my body reacts to stuff, so it was great that she really listened.

Dr Ehrlich is a wonderful dermatologist. She is smart, professional yet warm, thorough, takes the time to inform and educate patients and is compassionate and kind.

Dr.Allison is a excellent dermatologist. I've had plenty office visit with her and she's very nice and pleasant person.

Dr. Ehrlich was highly recommended to me by my internist. She has treated me for several years for psoriasis (for which she has conducted significant research) and has detected a thin skin melanoma during a routine exam. Her knowledge and follow-up has been excellent.
