Dr. Anthony Clark Abrantes, MD

1 sonogram in all 36 weeks, called my fetus a brat at today's appointment, so unprofessional, doesn't listen or take time to explain just rushes through the exam. Gets an attitude when told I'm not feeling heard or informed. If I wasn't already this far into my pregnancy I would not hesitate to find another doctor. Absolute, hands down the worse OB I've ever had and this is my 3rd child. He's trash!

He asked me and my wife about sexually inappropriate things. He refused a needed referral because “he didn’t want to”. He failed to explain things because he “didn’t have time”. I’ll be contacting the board and a lawyer.

Dropped me as a patient at 36 weeks for asking him not to check my cervix, a practice not supported by research before labor and something we agreed upon earlier in the pregnancy. When I asked him not to check it, he immediately left the room and refused to perform any other checks, including group B strep, baby's heart rate, fungal height, etc. I asked the receptionist if he was coming back and he said no. Dr. Abrantes would only communicate through his receptionist from there on out and he refused to come back and explain why he wouldn't perform the rest of my prenatal care aside from the check. He told the receptionist to tell me to find a new doctor. At 36 weeks.

I’ve been seeing Abrantes for 30 years. He’s a great doctor. Funny and serious depending on the current situation. If you want a dedicated doctor then he’s your man.

Dr. Abrantes and his staff are great. I was very nervous about my visit and after voicing my concerns, they treated me like a queen. Everything was explained to me both medically and in a way that I could understand. The office is incredibly laid back and the jokes (there were plenty) helped to ease my nervousness. Dr. Abrantes explained literally everything that he was doing during my exam and was very professional. If you can handle the jokes, I definitely recommend Dr. Abrantes.

Dr. Abrantes delivered my husband and his sister, then my first born and now we are currently seeing him for our second. I had a hard time in delivery with my first born, and tore all the way to rectum but he made sure I was taken care of! I love his new equipment, and his nurse staff is amazing! I love how I can hold a conversation with them and it’s not awkward. I would recommend him 1000x over!!

Dr. Abrantes is an awesome ob/gyn. He's easy to have small talk with and can answer any small or important question you may have. I've never met a doctor that made me feel completely comfortable in every aspect. He's confident and has a great bedside manner. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a ob/gyn.

This man fired me as a patient for being on a live saving medication that a team of specialist both agreed would be best for mother and baby. His office and ultrasound equipment look like something out of the 90s. He's inappropriate and makes sexual comments, and not used to dealing with a broad spectrum of patients who have underlying medical issues. Please find another doctor who CARES, because he didn't. My other OB welcomes me with open arms and helped me bring a perfect, beautiful life into this world. Anthony Abrantes almost caused me to miscarry and lose my first and only. Please save yourself the headache!

I’ve always loved how he makes you feel completely comfortable & makes you laugh even when we all know it can be an uncomfortable situation lol his staff too!
