Dr. Asma Poonawala Khapra, MD

I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Khapra after seeing how great her reviews were online. However, during my appointment, she was dismissive of my concerns and rude. I felt very judged by her. It is difficult to be open about medical problems if your doctor is unable to hear and care about your concerns. I did not return for follow up and do not recommend Dr. Khapra to anyone.

I am not happy with the service at Dr Khapra’s office. At the morning of the colonoscopy I was given a form to sign the the anesthesiologist was outside the network. I should have been notified beforehand. I would have found another doctor. I liked Dr . Khapra but this cost me dearly. I will not go back

I rarely write negative reviews. As a patient, I felt disregarded. I wish my physician, Dr. Khapra, took my procedure seriously throughout the procedure and after. I should have received my post-op diagnosis when I spoke my physician after the procedure. I felt neglected as a patient. This was a waste of money and a waste of service. Either she is terrible at communicating or she made it difficult to talk, which only escalated the problem. The office said I should be able to talk to her through the online portal but no one answered me back. It's been over a month now. I do not recommend her.

I have been very impressed with Dr Khapra’s care, careful analysis of my medical case and diagnosis.

Dr Khapra is a very caring doctor. She has reviewed my past medical records that I had provided, listened carefully to my health questions and concerns and gave easy to understand information and diagnosis.

I have never felt so confident and well cared for by a doctor in a long time. Dr. Khapra listened and provided excellent information on my condition and her follow up instructions were very helpful. She is one of the best doctors I've been to in a long time. I trust her. Thanks Dr. Khapra for being a good and concerned doctor. God bless you!

Dr. Khapra is a gift that gave me my life back! I was suffering every single day for years and avoided having an endoscopy/colonoscopy for several years because of sheer fear. After pain forced me to get to Dr. Khapra, she was able to completely calm all of my fears and eliminated the shame and embarrassment. I've since had the procedures several times and as she promised, there was no pain. She was able to diagnosis what had been bothering me for years and found a solution that has truly given me my normal/comfortable life back. I won't go to anyone else. She is an incredibly bright, yet down to earth doctor. Wish we could clone her. From a very grateful patient. Highly recommend her!

Dr. Khapra is the best gastroenterologist. She has a seemingly rare mix (at least in GI medicine) of empathy, intellect and superb intuition. Despite my having been to numerous other gastroenterologists who had failed to diagnose me, at my first visit, Dr. Khapra already had an hunch and a plan for testing....which confirmed her theory. Because of her skill, my symptoms are much improved. It's a little bit hard to get an appointment to see her, probably because others are discovering how great she is!

Wonderful doctor,,,really listened to all I had to say patiently. Being a woman myself, I felt very comfortable with her, and felt she knew exactly what I was talking about. I would highly recommend her to anyone.

Been to other doctors to try to get an accurate diagnosis. She is the first to take her time, listen, ask good questions and come up with a treatment plan. She is an amazing doctor and I feel that I am in good hands..I am lucky to find her...
