Dr. Bassel Al-Lahham, MD

If this is how he treats new patients, all I can say is WOW! Today my 86 year old mother had a appointment scheduled with Dr. Al-Lahham. We had been waiting a few weeks for the appointment. Referred by her primary care doctor to be able to have a Gastroenterology explain the results of a endoscopy she had done 2 months ago. On our way to the appointment 8 miles away we were stuck in traffic due to and auto accident. I called being respectful to let them know the situation and that we would be there as soon as possible. I was told then that he probably wouldn't see us if we were late, explaining my frustration the lady seemed to understand and said to just get there. As we were walking in the building she called me back to tell me that he would not going to see us I tried to explain my mother is 86, stressed about the appointment and had waited to get in to see him yet we were still told he would not see us. We were only 15 minutes late!!

I switched GI's to start seeing Dr Al-Lahham. He spent more than an hour with me explaining what to expect and what kind of the frame. He also said out a game plan to get me in remission. If A doesn't work, we do B. If that doesn't work, we do C, etc. I was hospitalized a month after seeing him for something caused by my condition, but not immediately related to it. He saw me to confirm our game plan was still moving forward and that was the end of his involvement. He still continued to visit me each day I was in the hospital to check in on me and make sure the medical staff was treating me right, which they were. I can't say enough good things about Dr Al-Lahham and his staff.
