Dr. Brad Alan Pasternak, MD

Dr. Pasternak embodies everything I look for in a physician. He has a competent front office and for urgent situations we have been able to get in immediately. Dr. Pasternak himself is thorough, if he doesn't have an answer he clearly outlines the path(s) that will be pursued to find one. He does not hesitate to network with his colleagues and continue to research. He progresses from least invasive standpoint in diagnosis and treatment. He doesn't give up. My daughter has had chronic issues that present in various different forms and every time we have a new one he considers it a challenge to resolve as opposed to giving up because the issue is not obvious. Dr. Pasternak is our lifetime GI doctor.

We had a great first visit with Dr. Pasternak. I should have realized his office was too busy when I tried to schedule a follow up (suggested at 6 weeks) and I couldn't get in for about 9 weeks. Prior to our follow up, our son had some new/worsening symptoms so I called in to try and get an urgent appointment. My call wasn't returned for 2 days and then they had to get info, talk to the doctor and called me the day after (so basically 5 days after my little guy's issue) and they just sent a new medication prescription without even seeing him or explaining what it would do, etc. I tried one more time to get some info and the person handling the phones was so rude, I just gave up and found a new doctor. It's unfortunate because I think Dr. Pasternak himself was great.

Dr. Pasternak and his staff go above and beyond to care for my son. My son has Crohn's, and we are fortunate to have Dr. Pasternak caring for him. He listens, is extremely thorough and takes time to explain things to me and my son.

Dr. Pasternak was very thorough and answered all my questions patiently without making me feel like an idiot. He was nice to my son and we did not feel hurried at all. I haven't had to contact his office yet. We see him for follow-up/progress in two months but he was very clear that if I had questions or concerns before then to call them. That is what I needed to hear. I need help/support. Being a single parent is difficult enough without (as my son calls them) "poop issues." ;-)

Dr. Pasternak went above and beyond when my daughter was in the hospital. He is extremely knowledgable and caring.

My daughter was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis and I cannot praise Dr. Pasternak enough. He explained everything about the disease and gave me his email address so I would be able to reach him more easily than calling the office. I have never had a Dr. email me back within minutes. I am sincerely recommending him to any family that has a sick child. He will treat you and your child with respect and sensitivity.
