Dr. Carlton Damon Paige, MD

I have been going to Dr. Paige for a few years. Initially I was impressed by his knowledge. However, upon first visit he placed an order for 60 tubes of blood to be drawn without telling me. When going to the lab to have blood drawn they were disgusted by the amount he was requesting in one visit and decided to break it up in two visits since it was not recommended by the lab to have so much blood drawn in one visit. That was the first red flag. Regarding his financial agreement .... $300 per visit and a monthly fee of $150 which was for the use of a portal so I could go directly to him or staff to have any questions answered in a timely manner. Also, it would include from time to time articles to read, periodic educational meetings, etc. He would send me some articles upon request but they were in doc language and hard to understand. As I would have questions I would reach out to him for clarification and his answers were always not clear and confusing. Never would he pick up… the phone and call to explain. I stuck with it though. I did find that as time went on the response to my questions were not answered in a timely manner and I had to either call the office or send another message. Or the response would create more confusion which I would need addressed but never a phone call to explain ..... there's time to use a portal and time to use the phone especially when dealing with one's healthcare! This is certainly not your typical "Boutique" practice where the doctor will call you if requested at any time day or night plus weekends. However, Dr. Paige was charging like he was. Two years in I found out that he was marking up some of his recommended tests/compounded meds and asked his wife about it (she runs the practice and she never responded. I started price shopping and found one compounded med he was going to prescribe was marked up 50% so I was able to get prescribed from another doctor. When Dr. Paige found that out he sent me a certified letter dropping me from his practice. Also, he has locked me out of the portal so I can't get my medical records/notes to pass onto another doc. So .... Beware!

Dr. Paige charged me $300 per visit for 2 visits and did nothing but a ton of blood work and then sent me a plethora of medical articles to read for me to figure out how to help myself. He also referred me to his wife to promote her so she could become certified in her field as well. I feel like he takes advantage of people who are desperate to find out what is wrong with them, overcharges them and then doesn't really help them at all. I think he's all about the money and not at all about helping people.

Both my son and myself have had a positive experience with Dr Paige. He is very patient and takes the time to explain your diagnosis. The patient portal is great communication tool and we always get a quick response.

Very pleased with information I receive. Easy to talk with Dr. Paige. Explains thoroughly and answers my questions. Responds when I email a question as well. Would recommend!

I came back to Dr. Paige because he uses the science to know what treatment is necessary to help me feel my best.

Dr Paige cares about your best possible health, not just treating symptoms or diseases. He is one of a very few in our area who have enough insights to help in areas other doctors don't even consider. His care makes my daily life better.

I have appreciated his help with discerning what tests need to be administered for my health. He is easily accessible and responds fairly quickly to any questions or concerns I have.

I'm consulting with Dr Paige to get deeper knowledge of back pain, brain fog, and fatigue. His knowledge of medical practices than commonly practiced is heartening. He has already been of invaluable help treating my daughter, who was suffering from a botched root canal. Had to pull out of school, and was at worst sleeping 23 hours a day. Will probably switch to him full time, if he will accept new patients.

Dr Paige has taken the time to really get to the bottom of my conditions. I have really improved over the last year and am looking forward to getting even better. He is always quick to answer my questions and seems to care about me as a person. Thank you Dr Paige for all you do.

He listens and helped my thyroid issues more than an endocrinologists. I'm grateful and would recommend him to anyone suffering with thyroid issues.
