I feel my knee surgery results were horrible! I have more pain and less mobility.

Dr Ray performed a total knee replacement on me and I was walking without assistance by the fourth day. Just Amazing.

Dr Ray performed surgery on my daughters ankle. He did an excellent job. I highly recommend him.

I saw Dr. Ray for the first time today. He was kind and caring which goes a long way with me. He spent a lot of time with me and wanted to make sure I understood everything about my upcoming surgery. He gets five stars.

After going through multiple complex problems with my feet, Dr Ray felt that I would be better off consulting with a foot specialist for further evaluation and surgery. He is a hand specialist and just didn't feel comfortable doing surgery on my foot with the multiple problems that I had. After the surgery and the stitches being removed the incision reopened and ended up in a huge mess, causing me to have to be hospitalized locally. Dr Ray was called in to evaluate my foot, at which time he let me now that he did NOT like the way it looked and what was going on with it. I have seen him in his office several times since my surgery for other things and he has always showed a huge amount of concern over what is going on with my foot even though he didn't do the surgery. He has taken his time to discuss with me how things are going with it and how the healing process is going, along with offering some advice on helping to heal. If he were so money hungry then he would've done the surgery… himself rather than send me to a foot specialist in Birmingham. Also, if he were so worried about money he would be giving me the cortisone shots that I have asked for and charging me for them instead of refusing to let me have them because of the way they affect my blood sugar. Dr Ray is a personal friend so I know him on a little bit deeper level than a professional level. He is one of the kindest, most down to earth doctors you will ever meet. He cares deeply about his patients but he expects them to comply with his instructions and orders. If not, he WILL let you know how displeased he is!

I have RA and have seen Dr. Ray many times before. My entire family has been a patient of his at one point. I saw him last Monday for severe pain in my neck. He was so short with me would not give me a steroid shot, did not tell me if I should continue taking OTC ibuprofen or apply heating pad or ice pack to my neck. He didn't give me time to ask any questions or any information or helpful advise to help get me through till my follow up visit after MRI. I have not even been able to drive due to how bad my neck is. I have very limited mobility in it. All he did was tell me the nurse would schedule me for a MRI and he shot out of the room. Finally four days later I get the MRI done and still have to wait six days before I can see him again and go over the results. I will NOT use him again! His bed side manners are awful and he is money hungry! All he wants is for you to keep coming to his office and paying co-pays along with going to his clinic for physical therapy. Always more money… for him!!!

Computer problems caused the delay. The staff could not access patients' files, and after being on call over the weekend, the office was standing room only. It was a unique situation.

All he wants you to do is get a shot and go to his physical therapy. He will not give you any pain meds even when nothing is helping.

Awesome! Best orthopedic doctor in Calhoun County! Very thorough, great bedside manner but means business regarding treatment/patient compliance. Entire office staff is awesome!
