I have been going to Dr. Craig Gerstein for about 25 years. He is awesome!! He did cataract surgery on both my eyes (1 month apart) in 2007, no problem at all. I now have 20/20 vision in both eyes, only need reading glasses. I would highly recommend Dr. Craig Gerstein.

Dr. Gerstein did a cataract operation on me (ECCE-IOL). When the tech had trouble getting measurements, he told her to "just use the other eye." He then put in the wrong lens, leaving me with severe anisometropia and unable to wear glasses.

Dr. Craig Gerstein removed my cataracts and implanted monofocal lenses into both of my eyes. The outcome of the surgery was quite stunning because I realized the extent to which the cataracts had impaired my vision. My visits to Dr. Gernstein's office convinced me that he is one of the most knowledgeable and skilled eye-surgeons in Chicago. I have some friends who had cataracts removed by other doctors and almost everyone told me stories about problems that have developed as a result of the surgeries. I have not had any negative experiences with my surgeries. From the first eye exam, through the surgeries and follow-up visits, all my encounters with Dr. Gernstein convinced me that I can trust his expertize & start referring to him my friends.

I came in to see if I was able to have the Lasik surgery. I was referred by my optomotrist who I have trusted for many years. The girl I spoke was very informative and they determined from the testing that I was able to have Lasik. I had it the following Friday and couldn't express how my life has changed since. Dr. Craig explained everything every step of the way and I couldn't be happier with the results!

The office was a little crowded, but I only waited about 10 minutes before the nurse called me back. I thought the guys was really nice. Straight forward and educated. Overall good experience. Will be back again in 1 year for my regular visit.

Office and ouside of building very dated. On news office next door was busted for massage prostitution. Still vacant office.Better doctors with newer equipment to be found is my opinion.
