Dr. Cyril C Desilva, FRCSC

My husband suffered a TBI while vacationing in Florida last year and this was our assigned neurosurgeon. He was unprofessional, uncaring, and neglectful. He walked out on me in the ICU when I was inquiring about my husband’s brain bleed. The nurses were apologizing for his rude, abrupt behavior. I never saw him again and he only sent his PA. Everyone else was amazing but this doc is horrible so if someone recommends him to you please run away!

This guy is an absolute joke of a doctor. He has no regard for the person and all he wants is money. I had a tumor on my spine in 2017 and after 4 days in ICU then 4 more on the regular floor he sent me directly from the hospital to a pain clinic. No physical therapy, no after care, no follow up treatment plan. The way he treated me and my family was absolutely despicable! Guess what!!!!! My back still prevents me from living my life but now it hurts all over instead of a concentrated area! I wish I would have not been so scared of the tumor and did more research on the doctor and the surgery. Thanks for being an absolute monster to a person in shock and scared and alone. You should be ashamed of yourself!

If you want a Dr. that cares about human life, his patients, and a helpful staff, DO NOT see Dr. DeSilva. If he had taken even a minute of time to look at my dads scans, my dad may have had a fighting chance to get treatment started. Instead he disregarded him because his diagnoses was terminal anyway. His staff is some of the worst I’ve seen in healthcare. You basically have to tell them to do their job because heaven forbid they actively offer to do anything. That is if you can get them to answer the phone. Dr. DeSilva never called after biopsy, and if any questions needed answering he has his PA do it. Absolutely awful, save your life and see someone else. Check out his malpractice lawsuit, that speaks loudly

Dr. Desilva and his team Jeff and Ernestine are amazing caring trio. Spot on diagnosed with great communication. In spite of a storm taking out there office they made time to for a new patient and giving it most care.

Great surgeon, good results, and staff is excellent...takes time to get an appointment, office wait is long, but all in all a good experience.

I have only had one visit so far but am making follow-up appt for after MRI. Dr Desilva did an excellent job with my brothers back so I am seeing him too.

Dr. Desilva went over the tests and answered all my questions. He did not push surgery first and made sure I knew all my options. I chose surgery which he did a great job and made a big difference in my life.

My experience with doctor Desilva was nothing short of miraculous. His knowledge and experience saved my life. I felt very confident Dr Desilva is the most competent physian in his speciality. I cant forget Aaron he's the best PA. I highly recommend Dr Desilva. You'll be in good hands.

Dr DeSilva is a very caring, professional surgeon. I would highly recommend him. He is very up to date on all the newest techniques. I am happy that I found him.

I was held in the surgery holding room 4 hrs longer than when my surgery was scheduled to start. After surgery I was in recovery for 2 hrs (I was suppose to go home at this point), However, The dr told them to hold me there for 6 more hours and to NOT give me anything more for pain....so I laid there miserably in pain & nauseas. I live 1-1/2 hrs drive from the hospital, so that put us getting home at 11:00pm and I was so sick, we had to keep pulling off of the road so that I could throw up. It was a long day. I arrived at 730am / left at 9:30pm. I really felt my dr should have kept me over night.
