So what 39 years of experience. The bottom line is that Dr. Cogan is very unethical. All he cares is money and flatter the court.

Before deciding on Dr. Dana Cogan, I read reviews on him. People were all over the place. Now I know why. Dr. Cogan picks the diagnosis that is convenient for him--and he will weave a story like a nut job criminal from the Austin Powers movies. Stay away from Cogan, no matter who referred you. Believe the reviews. Dana Cogan is a bad dude.

Dr. Cogan was ethical and knowledgable in his assessment. He calls a spade a spade and is able to use his experience, training, and awareness of the human condition to improve the lives of children. His job is a thankless, unpopular role, but he changed my life and the life for my family. Kudos to Dr. Cogan.

I am surprised by the negative responses found on this site: I have seen Dr. Cogan for a number of years and have always found him to be professional, insightful and unbiased. He has helped me and my family a great deal and is always easy to get in touch with and punctual.Keep in mind that he does a fair amount of work with divorce and child custody. In these cases there are most often going to be extremely polarized points of view and therefore one party will most likely always be mad at him. This is not an accurate representation of his work in private therapy, nor his intentions and professionalism. He has helped both me and my family a great deal.

I was his patient for 20 years and found him to be accurate in his diagnosis and treatment. I loved the guy!
