Dr. Daniel George Arkfeld, MD

Help for pain with Dr has changed because he gave all authority to a pharmacy resident named allison. Why is she practicing medicine? Her excuse… “I’m following orders.” The George Floyd excuse? Wow! Not sure why an MD is taking orders from a resident but patients weren’t told about the amount of power this resident had. Awful. You were ambushed in appointments and brought in under false pretense. Patient / doctor relationship totally ruined. USC patient relations had no idea this was happening.

I was lost in pain....my doctors would just make me feel like I was crazy! So after research I thought I'd give One more doctor a visit to try and get some answers and relief ......... I met Dr Arkfeld! He took me under his wing and One medical issue at a time.......he has changed my life.....although I'm not cured and 5 surgeries after, I understand my illness and will forever be thankful to Dr Arkfeld and the other doctors he placed me with! Love that man.....he truly understands!

I think Dr. Arkfeld is one of the top doctors at USC. If you have a disorder he does not treat, he refers you to the top specialists!. Have been seeing Dr. Arkfeld for 15+ years and consider him a good friend as well as "my" doctor.

Dr Arkfeld has been my rheumatologist for 23 + years. I have immense respect for his skill as a clinician & his compassion as a human, & as a doctor. When I first met Dr Arkfeld, he was practicing in northern CA, where I live. When he moved to southern CA & USC, I tried to find another rheumatologist to take his place. Not only could I not find a doctor with his ability, knowledge & compassion, I was unable to find a doctor who even came close (& I tried EVERY rheumatologist w/i 100 miles!). None of them had Dr Arkfelds skills nor his constantly updated base of knowledge, which he always shared in hopes we would together, find better ways of managing my health issues. None of the doctors I tried, ever spent time, nor showed the concern that I've always felt & benefitted from with Dr Arkfeld. So, unable to find even a passably good rheumatologist in my area, I chose to take the 1 hour flight to see him @ USC. An action I will continue to do for as long as Dr Arkfelds in practice, or… until I die -whichever comes first! Dr Arkfeld & I are a team: we both do all we can to maintain my health by staying current, considering new options & communicating openly & honestly about anything that might affect my health. I would not be as healthy nor as functional as I am, if I was not one of Dr Arkfelds fortunate patients, reaping the benefits of his incomparable care & sincere compassion.

I am seeing him at LAC-USC so of course the wait time is absurd, but since I have been seeing him I have been very happy with my care.
