Dr. Daniel J. Luciano, MD

Dr. Luciano only works for money. He does not spend any time to listen to me. I try to tell him my problems with medication side effects and that I want to try a different epilepsy drug. HORRIBLE BEDSIDE MANNER. Only asks his questions, rushes me out in less than five minutes. Does not ask me how I am. Does not ask if I have any questions or problems. Does not care that I am suffering in over ten health issues caused by the drugs he prescribes for my seizures. WORST NEUROLOGIST I've ever had.

Awful physician. Poor bedside manners , does not listen to you whatsoever and will just prescribe you some sort of psychotropic medication under the false notion that “ it is safe.” I took it for three days and did not like the adverse reactions , at times I felt like I was convulsing. Abandoned the medication and my anxieties gotten worse as well as I suffer from insomnia that I fear will never go away. Inconsiderate and can care less about your well being, just concerned with the money.

Dr Luciano was highly recommended by another neurologist when I needed a a specialist in epilepsy. The Center was well-organized; the staff was very proficient and Dr. Luciano was excellent--and on time! He has continued to be in touch through the NYU Langone portal and has been very accessible in that way re questions, etc.

Dr. Luciano is a good listener and explains sometimes complicated medical information in a way that I can understand. All decisions regarding my care are based on his expertise as well as my needs and preferences. He prescribed the cognitive rehabilitation I knew I needed, my seizures are controlled and the side effects of the medication he prescribed are minimal. My health and overall quality of life have greatly improved. I have complete confidence in Dr. Luciano.

I was very impress Dr Luciano when I first went to him,but he started to rush me out and when I called him when I felt a seizure episode come on he was never around and never called to see how o was doing. Every time I had an appointment with him he would do the same three seconds test and that was it. If he took the time to do a real exam I would never had a stroke

Anybody who sees Dr Luciano,kindly let him know Dr Tikoo he forwarded me to before I came to Charlotte was "The GREATEST DOC" I ever had.As far as Dr Luciano,he's a nice man and good doctor.Thought he would be living in Fla with a couple of nice boats bye now.....I made it 30 years after brain temporal surgery @ NYU which is pretty amazing......Write me doctor Luciano if u get this and have a minute........See U R in half a dozen offices now.....WOW

Dr. Daniel Luciano was my doctor for over 10 years. There many times I wanted to come off the medication I was on. Especially because I wanted to have kids I wanted to have a healthy child. He never even tried to help me come off the medication so I could get better. He wanted me to still be on it because it was "safe". After I moved away from NY, I found a neurologist that is very reputable and I can't be so much happier with him because he is doing everything in his power to help me in coming off the medication so I can have a healthy child. I once asked one of my doctor friends " How can you tell if someone is a really good doctor"? She said someone who really cares. I believe this is so true. Dr. Luciano could really care less about you. The reason I stayed with him is because my insurance covered it and when I tried to switch doctors that was also at NYU she didn't want to give me the recommendation because they were on the same staff. If you really want to get better I would go… elsewhere.

Doctor Luciano is my physician and friend. I doubt I would be alive or able to function without his kind intervention.After Dr. Anthony Ritaccio left the NYU Comprehensive Epilepsy Center, Doctor Luciano took my case. My life has improved immerureably since. After having status and spending several visits to the Neurological Intensive Unit, I have been able to regain my health. The man is a genius. He has maintained contact with me between visits and monitored my condition to assure my well being. After being told I would need brain surgery, Doctor Luciano said he intended to cure me. It is possible that he has. I cannot express my gratitude sufficiently to him and probably will never be able to.Thank you again, Doctor Luciano.
