His clinical expertise is in the treatment of gastrointestinal malignancies, including including esophageal, stomach, pancreas, biliary, liver, colon, rectal and anal cancers. He is actively involved in the development of new therapies for patients with these diseases. Dr. Mulkerin also serves as Regional Director of the University of Wisconsin Paul P. Carbone Comprehensive Cancer Center regional cancer center network, which includes affiliate sites in eight communities within Wisconsin and Illinois.
