Dr. Richard David Bauer, MD

Absolute A-hole. He makes tons of money when hired by big companies to deny real claims. You can even cry in pain in his makeshift, dingy, temporary office and he won’t say a word and deny you. He is a SCAM and ruins people’s quality of life.

Doctor Richard Bauer was paid by the insurance company to give you a bad and false evaluation in order to dispute your claims. He testified under oath that I as a courier could lift over 75 pounds on my torn complete rotor cuff up 3 flights of stairs and loading 4 trucks averaging over 55 hours a week . He also changed his evaluation from be compensable to chronic to satisfy the insurance carrier. He also testified that an orthopedic surgeon dose not have a better perception of your injury when repairing it than an MRI. But also stated that that I could maneuver 150 pounds with the injury for years. He’s done this to countless injured works and should be investigated for ethics

He was very egotistical with his personality, explaining he didn’t work for Workman’s Comp..very rudely took a phone call in middle of exam, wouldn’t listen to me when questioning me, he was very rude.

If I could give him negative stars I would. I was referred to this quack by my workers comp. I knew reading his previous reviews it would not be a good visit. The first thing he said to me he was not there for me but for the company I work for. But that being said he would treat me as if I found him in the phone book. He did not listen to anything I had to say, only telling he knew everything about my injury. He only spent about 10 minutes with me and in the end of the appointment he walked out. I asked what he recommendation was for my care and he said he could not tell me that it would be in a report to my workers comp company. I fell an injured my back and shoulders on the job and he has the nerve to tell them it was a pre-existing condition. I was not having any pain prior to my fall. But he said because I had chiropractic care in the past for my shoulder that it was pre-existing. Yes, I had neck surgery a year ago, and have been completely fine until the fall. My… injury was not pre-exisisting. Whatever you do... DO NOT see this doctor.

This guy is paid by Workers Comp to say there is nothing wrong with you. I have 3 Doctors saying I need knee surgery and treatment for my SI joint and this scum bag spent 20 mins with me and said there is nothing wrong with me. This guy is a scum bag!

Very disappointed. Dr. Bauer did not listen to what I had to say. He left the room very quickly after his diagnosis because he "couldn't help me".

Dr. Bauer is phenomenal. His suggestions for treatment and subsequent procedures/surgery on me continue to make a positive difference in my life. My back surgery was many years ago and as a result I regained so much movement and function. As long as I keep myself in shape and keep my core strong, I rarely have any pain. I continue to be a huge fan of Dr. Bauer and refer friends and family to him without hesitation.

He flew from Texas to Spokane on his L&I circuit.

I was referred to Dr Bauer after an emergency room visit for severe back pain(not job related or due to an injury). I went to Dr Bauer in severe pain, scared because I have never had these symptoms before and hoping to get care and answers. I don't understand a Dr who smiles at someone who is in obvious distress from pain and says they are going to have to live with their condition, even though I had researched my condition and knew about possible treatments. I had another emergency arise with my condition and reached out to his office and left a voice mail which was never returned and when after calling again and reaching his nurse Ronda was advised it would be a week before I could get in, even though my pain was off the charts was told she didn't know what to tell me, subsequently I had to make an emergency visit to the hospital for treatment. I don't understand a Dr or nurse who show no empathy for someone who is sick and afraid and reaching out for care. My vetinarian shows my… animals more care than I received in this office.

Prepare to hire an attourney. This man is not concerned about you if you are injured on the job. Spent less than 5 minutes with me and made bizzar statements on my records such as I had already had surgery (not true) and the injury wasn't from the accident...again not true!
