Dr. David Reid Cornblath, MD

I was very disappointed with an EMG that I had done a few days ago. This doctor was supposed to perform an upper and lower extremity EMG and only did one arm and one leg! He charted it as so also so it is not what I think happened...it did! The test was a joke also because he claimed that I did not have any polyneuropathies or radiculopathies. I had another EMG done just two months ago that was much more elaborate and long and it surely documented my usual history of generalized chronic, axonal, motor and sensory polyneuropathies! There is no chance that in two months things have improved. EMG's for me have reflected about the same although worsening over the past decade. This doctor was an idiot, had no patient kindness, made stupid comments regarding other health issues, refused to listen to me, and is a person that I feel should not be practicing medicine!! He along with the neurologist Alan Belzberg at Johns Hopkins are just a few in the group of many that screw patients… and do not give them the proper diagnosis or treatment. It needs to stop!!

I have been a patient of Dr. Cornblath's for over 8 years. In my opinion he is the best in his field and so knowledgeable. I have Myasthenia Gravis and he has kept me in remission. Dr. Cornblath always pays great attention to my symptoms and is very thorough. His assistant Rebecca is always so helpful and accommodating.. This is professionalism at its best! I am blessed to be in such good hands and that certainly gives me and my family peace of mind!

Dismissive, condescending, and unsympathetic â?? and a wrong diagnosis to boot...

With regard to "Staff" in the ratings above, I am specifically referring to the office staff not Dr. Cornblath. Dr Cornblath was very disrespectful. I found him to be quite passive aggressive. He's arrogant and tends to be condescending. He attacked me with questions almost as if to ridicule me. I felt as if I was being reprimanded for my illness. Rather than focus on the facts and issues he kept asking me if I was depressed and if I cried a lot. I truly felt violated by him. Why would he do that, I've been through enough already - I felt humiliated by him; no one ever deserves to be treated like that. I most certainly will not be returning to him or Johns Hopkins. I was told he in among the best in his field - what a disappointment! He is the first doctor who ever took away my hope and belief that I will one day feel better.

Even though I had an extremely rare condition, Dr. Cornblath correctly diagnosed me immediately. Other doctors disagreed but extensive testing proved them wrong and Dr. Cornblath correct. His prompt and accurate treatment is why I am alive today. I highly recommend him!
