Dr. David Lee Shadid, DO

We took our daughter to at least 5 different mental health specialists and none of them were able to pinpoint what was causing her tantrums and poor performance in school. Instead of a generic ADD diagnosis, Dr. Shadid evaluated our daughter and found she had a combination of ODD and depression. He prescribed and fine tuned medication for her and she is now able to function much closer to normal. We continue to work with Dr. Shadid for medication management and pleased to work with him. PS - the office is very busy, so it may be difficult to have time for long counseling sessions.

Dr Shahid is so wonderful at his job and so patient and understanding .I would highly recommend him to someone .

I saw him many years ago. He is a passionate and compassionate dr. Very thorough and empathetic. And as he is very tenacious, you sense and know that he is thoughtful and serious and i had thrown him some doozies in my younger days. As i am dealing with anxiety issues again after almost 10 years, i am hoping i can get back in with him again soon. He is my first choice.

Too quick

Staff is very unprofessional, from the office manager down to the receptionist. You are pretty much nothing but $$ at this clinic. Very disappointed.

My son Matthew has been going to Dr shadid for 2 years. Him and his staff are the best people, they care about their mental patients. I'm blessed to have found him. I had dealt with different doctors when my son first got sick at 19 years old. I went to different doctor and they act like they didnt care about anything I was going though with my son. They didn't care whether my son had his meds to help him or not. Im so happy that my doctor suguested Dr Shadid.

Well, first off (and not the worst issue) don't expect a call back when leaving messages on the Voice Mail. What I hated the most through the years of see Dr. Shadid was that the staff has always treated me as if I were assumed to be mentally unstable. You can hear it in their tone when they speak to you and how they look and treat you. I was only there for ADD and mild depression. It's like they feel free to treat you like crap because who will believe you about their rudeness and unprofessional behavior since you are clearly mentally disturbed and your opinion is tainted as evidenced by your need to see a psychiatrist..... LOL. As an example of why Dr. Shadid's staff is the very worst kind of people: My Primary care Dr requested my A.D.D records and after 30 days I called to follow up. Shadid's staff claimed they never received the fax request. I told them my primary care Dr. had a 'fax confirmation from 30 days prior and that my insurance is going away any day. They told me that… by law they had 30 days to fulfill the request. I politely pointed out that time has passed. I started calling every other day with (I swear to you) very friendly follow-up calls to check on the status. Today, (Day 41 after the request was sent to them) they actually disconnected me and forwarded the calls to their answering service 30 minutes before their scheduled closing time (Fri. 12:00 pm). I'll get my records, maybe even before my insurance runs out. However, I strongly urge you to seek help elsewhere. Unless you like being treated badly, the staff will make things worse for you and I am guessing you don't really need that kind of aggravation. Shadid is truly a nice guy, but his staff is why I would avoid these doctors. Sad, but true.

Dr Shadid is very good at diagnosis and prescribing the right meds. With his care I have been doing very well for over 3 years.
