Dr. Debabrata Saha, MD

He prescribes meds in such high doses to the patient. He doesn't make the appropriate dosage adjustments which makes a patient dysfunctional. Medical judgement is not sound for patient care.

I have recently seen Dr. Saha to be treated at a mental facility. I attempted to cheerfully greet him a goodmorning and received silence in return. He started the session by asking questions on a scale of one to ten (standard), and then a few simple questions where he replied to my answers with a 'mhmm' and nothing further. How am I supposed to receive proffessional help from a psychiatrist with absolutely no bedside manner. I did not vet analyzed, rather categorized. His evaluation is equivalent of selecting options on a computer ams letting the program decide what is wrong rather than being personal and caring. It really bothers me to see the severity of cases he oversees and how little attention each one receives. No wonder why people with extreme cases return to these mental facilities; lack of care and attention. The people who need professional help do not receive it through this sort of procedure nor recognize what they are receiving is far from it.

This "physician" does not see patients in a timely manner. He has no bedside manner at all, and he has absolute power over all the clients (involuntary or voluntary) at the Mental Health Resource Center on Beach Blvd.(now called Renaissance Health) hahahaha. That's a good one. He strips the patients of all prescribed or unprescribed meds and allows the "cold turkey" approach, which has long since been declared dangerous to overall health. This person is a perfect example of why psychiatry has a bad name. His behavior is unpleasant, his manner is abrupt and cold, and his concern for the safety of his patients is non-existent. I presume he has the position he holds because he is of ethnic origin, and as a result, cannot get a more lucrative position in this city. In his case, I can understand why. I do not know how this person obtained a medical license in the U.S., but he should be investigated by the AMA, the Jacksonville Medical Association, and any/all medical licensing boards… applicable in this state. DO NOT BECOME MEDICALLY INVOLVED WITH THIS PERSON FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY. HE SHOULD NOT BE PRACTICING MEDICINE OF ANY TYPE IN THIS COUNTRY.
