Summary
My name is Debra Fuchs-Ertman and I am an internist. I grew up in Massachusetts. I did my residency at Maine Medical Center and enjoyed the area and medical community so much that I stayed. I have been in private practice with InterMed since 1997. My husband and I have two daughters and really enjoy living in Maine. We love the four seasons and the wide variety of things to do locally. The only down side is the gardening season is short!
At InterMed I have been more than a primary care physician. I was the department head of the Weekend Clinic for two years. I continue to serve on the Osteoporosis Task Force and the Income Distribution Plan Committee. I am also a member of InterMeds research division and have been a sub-investigator on research trials. Outside of InterMed I have been a volunteer soccer coach for many years. Being a physician is challenging but that is why I practice medicine. I enjoy getting to know my patients and find fulfillment in making a difference in their …lives. I also like the ability to follow a patient over many years with a primary care practice.
