Dr. Delia Aldridge is a Board Certified Psychiatrist with 20 years of experience in treating adults and adolescents with eating disorder, PTSD, personality disorders, substance abuse, self injury, mood and anxiety disorders.

Prior to joining ERC, Dr Aldridge was the Medical Director for AMITA Health, Alexian Brothers Behavioral Medicine Institute - Center for Eating Disorders in Hoffman Estates, IL, a northwest suburb of Chicago.

As an expert in refeeding, she has established a premier refeeding service for pediatric and adult patients with complex psychiatric comorbid conditions including self-injury, PTSD, mood disorders and substance use disorders.

Continuing my previous comment... I’m a registered nurse and know excellent care. I am so grateful that I’ve been able to have Dr Aldridge as my psychiatrist for 12 years. Her medical/psychiatric skills, her compassion for me as a whole person, her knowledge of the most recent treatments, has been invaluable in my quality of life. When I was properly diagnosed by Dr Aldridge, given the effective treatment for my disease, AND if followed her suggestions/plan of care, my life has been amazingly wonderful. I finally have gotten to a point, “Oh this is how it feels to be a normal human being, living with a chronic, life long psychiatric illness”. I have also taken advantage of much support given to me from Amita/Alexian Behavioral health team. Thank you so much Dr Aldridge and the rest of the team for giving me my life back.

Dr. Aldridge is the best psychiatrist I have ever had, and I have had a lot. She is tough but that is because she cares. She spends a lot of time with me and I am comfortable with her. She is the first doctor I have really trusted and I trust her with anything. After years of failed treatment she was able to properly diagnose me and prescribe the right medications. She is a fantastic doctor and I would recommend her to anyone with an eating disorder or a problem with self-injury. She was able to help me when no one else could.

This doctor was the worst doctor I have ever seen. This doctor told me, "If you don't do exactly as I say you need to do then you are not miserable enough to need help."
