I love these people

Even though he has droped quite a few insurance carriers I would still recomend him.

Dr. Dawns has been my whole family Dr. since 1886. He never disappointed any of us. My children are adults now and moved out of OC but yet they travel to Dr. Dawn' practice when ever they are sick, need to have Dr. consultation. Dr. Dawn is not only knowledgeable, professional and courteous but he is also a great humanistic who values every patient that walks into his practice and provide everyone with best professional Dr. care.

He does Quick and accurate diagnosis. He listens to the patients description and, because of his experience, He has a diagnosis. I was bitten by a spider, He took one look and determined it was an Extremely poisonous Brown Recluse spider that bit me . He immediately gave me a couple of s of the strongest anti-biotic known to man. With in two days The swelling had gone down and I was back to normal. Great job

first of all facility's pretty depressing, sort of a questionable location, not in a medical center at all.went to this office as it's very close to my home, and it was my primary picked by the HMO.the doctor seemed very apathetic, did barely any diagnosis, and seemed to keep a distance the whole time.i'm switching primary care right away.

Yea, he doesn't really stay in long to talk to you, he is in and out soooo quickly, and you are trying to ask me questions while he has one foot out the door, drives me crazy. I really want to get a new doctor as soon as I can. The sad part is, i've gone there since I was a kid, but he isn't cutting it for my wife and I.

I've been to Dr. Downs few times now. Everytime I wait a long time and then by the time I actually get to see him, it's like he's trying to get rid of me as quick as possible. He will only give you 2 minutes of his time then then opens the door as has one foot out of the door while you are still talking to him. He will refer you to another doctor rather than having to put hands on you. Then the referal which should only take a couple days if handled properly, takes over a week. If you call to see what's taking so long, the staff say they'll take care of it when they get a chance rather that saying 'sorry for making you wait so long we'll handle this immediately' when you shouldn't have to wait. Reviewer 1 hit the nail right on the head. I don't know how the guy got through medical school. I really think he ordered his medical degree online or something, it's truely a joke. And the staff is just as bad as he is. I think you are almost better off using Web MD or google than seeing him.… I'm changing as soon as my insurance will let me. Hope this helps someone, since I picked his name off of a list without any background information.

Unbelievably cursory examination, and prescribes antibiotics without knowing whether they are needed. I was assigned this doctor by my HMO. I had an appointment for a sore throat. He literally "looked" at my throat from four feet away, said, "Whoa, yup. You're infected," and backed away from me. There's no way he was close enough to see anything, and even if we were, what an unprofessional response. He then proceeded to write me two prescriptions, one for an antibiotic, without taking a culture or anything to see if the supposed infection was bacterial or not! It goes without saying, I switched doctors.My husband likes Dr. Downs, though. As he says, "You always walk out of there with at least one prescription." Yup. Whether ya need it or not!
