Dr. Douglas Paul Hartzler

I'm very late in providing this review as I had hip pain and surgery nearly a year ago, but Dr. Hertzler and Kristen Bilstad , PA-C of Orthro Arizona provided extraordinary and immediate relief with their replacement surgery. I've never had a better surgical/medical experience than this one. The surgery was performed beginning at 7AM. I was back in my hospital room by 10AM. Though I was following a walker, I was basically unaided with no pain and going up and down the hallway outside the room for 50 yards in each direction.

From first consultation all the way through hip replacement the experience was exceptional. Great communication from Dr Hartzler and Kristin his assistant and even entire staff from scheduling and insurance. I highly recommend Dr. Hartzler and entire staff. Exceptional care and follow up

Wonderful Doctor---wonderful Staff---had a full knee replacement band could not be more pleased with the results.

Dr. Hartzler did my shoulder replacement surgery in March 2025. I had very little post-op pain and now 8 weeks later, have already regained most of my range of motion. His PA Kristen and his medical assistant Lexi are very personable and competent. My experiences with Dr. Hartzler and his team have been uniformly excellent. I would recommend Dr. Hartzler to anyone!

Great experience from consult to surgery to post-op. The surgical, post-op, and surgi-center teams all worked so well together to guide me through my hip replacement with Dr. Hartzler at the helm. Last November was a time of pain and hope. Now, in January at 6 weeks post-op, walking is a joy again. Great doc, great teams. Appreciate them so much.
