Dr. Eliot N. Mostow, MD

My visits to Dr. Mostow have all been a great experience. He has residents study with him, he and his staff are caring and professional, and obtaining appointments are easy. His staff and associates are also multicultural. I highly recommend him.

So unhappy with the visit my daughter had . She has so many concerns, all the spots she pointed out Dr. Mostow blew off, told her to come back in 6 months. I am taking her to another doctor for a second opinion. I feel this office is all about beauty and products. There was no medical concern for her health at all for her.

Dr. Mostow is not only a wonderful doctor who immediately found a pre-cancerous mole on me, but he continues to be a compassionate and kind member of the Akron community. He is efficient, but thorough. I have been seeing him for 23 years now, and really would not go anywhere else. He and his staff are second to none in my book.

After waiting a full 3 hours in the waiting room to see the doctor, the worst was yet to come. The doctor walked into the examining room and said that I owed him money from the last visit. My hubby and I have a perfect credit rating and always pay our bills. Sitting there in a flimsy examination gown, I felt humiliated. After the appointment, I told the receptionist that the doc said that I owed money. She checked and said that I did not; my insurance company had already paid it. I will never return to that reprehensible doctor. This happened around 10 years ago, when he practiced at a different location. However, from reading some of the other reviews, I see that his bedside manner has not improved.

I had a dime sized spot of psoriasis on my scalp and nowhere else. He told me the diagnosis as if he was giving me a cancer diagnosis. I didn't understand what the big deal was. A little girl with a tablet came in and asked me a bunch of nosy questions about my personal life which I declined to answer. She seemed ticked off about it. I'll get my prescription from my PCP from now on.

Very bad experience. He went around my sons family doctor to put him on medicine for acne. My son got a sist and he told us sorry nothig more I can do for you. Good bye. My son was suppose to have a final blood work when ending the acne medicine. Was told he didn't need it. Would not recommen this DR.

After being told by many other dermatologists that they would not be able to make an appointment for my 18 month old son for several months, Dr Mostow ...
