Dr. Esteban Cuartas, MD

I only have beautiful things to say about this amazing spine surgeon! After suffering pain for many years, I was told by my pain management doctor that I needed to consult a spine surgeon. After careful research, I decided to trust my care to Dr. Esteban Cuartas who I saw had great credentials and many years of experience. I met Dr. Cuartas in December 2022, and he performed spine surgery on me on February 2023. He genuinely cares about his patients and it shows. His bedside manner at the hospital was awesome. He kept the nurses on their toes, always making sure I was given the best care. They all have great respect for him. I hope Dr. Cuartas realizes how much he has changed my life. After so many years of being house bound due to constant pain, now I go out and enjoy life to the fullest! I can take walks, cook and care for my family more and finally, after so many years, I am able to walk around the mall with my daughter without pain! All thanks to the skills of this amazing… surgeon!

Visited him TWO MONTHS ago to get an MRI of my extremely painful tailbone, he never sent papers into my insurance company. My company contacted me themselves and told me they tried to come into contact him several times and they were unsuccessful. Definitely would recommend any other doctor than this man. Extremely unprofessional and not willing to help anyone. Played off my pain like I was making it up. Terrible experience, will not return ever again.

If I could give negative stars I would. This man is only about himself. He does not care about you as a patient. He sees only $$. He thinks he is above you as a patient. Talks down to you as if you don't need to know "the big words". While he blamed others for what they didn't do he went and did the same thing. He'll have you running around for things for months till HE DECIDES you finally need surgery when it's apparent that there is clearly something drastically and life changing going wrong with your body. He has ZERO bedside manners! Whether it's a 1st appointment or prior to surgery he will find a way to make it about him and pat himself on the back while putting other doctors down that he doesnt even know. Just saying it as a fact that " he's better". He has no issues leaving you curbside, on a slab before a surgery. He'll leave you out of the loop on what are the FULL procedure details before during and after surgery. He lies to not only your face but to others to try and… save face. And when that is not enough he will pen the patient as the bad guy to save his face and his career. Stay far away from this PUTZ!

I really recommend this doctor. He is great with his patience and is always looking to help.

Dr Cuartas and Dr Sanz. These two doctors were obnoxious!!!! They are so full of themselves! If you are interested in my experience with them , hit reply. I will gladly respond !!!

I have had two spine surgeries with Dr. Cuartas. One in 2010 and one in 2014. He literally changed my life. I was in constant pain and unable to participate fully life. I am now pain free and enjoying every day to the fullest. Best of all no more pain meds!! Dr. Cuartas explained the procedures fully and never made any promise he couldn't keep. He is always kind and has a great bedside manner. I would recommend him without reservation.
