Dr. Francis Luk, MD

I saw Dr Luk three or four times and I don't understand how he is even allowed to practice medicine. He told me that vasculitis is always purple, it can't be red. And he said my vasculitis was just a reaction to sunblock. (I don't use sunblock or ANYTHING on my legs.) He also told me that my chronic, systemic and rheumatological tendonitis that I have in over a dozen places, is "overuse" I asked him, "Then why doesn't everyone get overuse tendonitis in almost ALL their tendons to the point of being disabled?" His response? He said, "They do. They probably do." I also had stiffness and pain all over my body that was extremely debilitating. Thankfully I went to a different rheumatologist and she immediately started me on something for an autoimmune disease. Thank God! It's made a huge difference!! How is this guy a doctor? I don't understand.

If I could give 0 stars I would my Dad had Lupus and he refused to test me he said it shows false positives which is obviously not true I have relatives who were tested because my Dad had Lupus and they were negative I suggest if you need a rheumatologist do not waste your time with him

Dr. Luk is quite possibly the best Doctor I have seen. Spent a great deal of time with me, explained my diagnosis, and carefully went over treatment options. Very thankful to have Dr. Luk as my rheumatologist!

Dr. Luk is in a hurry and is not willing to listen. He insisted on several treatments all of which failed and made other conditions worse. He seemed offended that he needed to work with another doctor to help various conditions. Two other doctors advised me to find a different rheumatologist.

Very thorough always answers my questions

Dr. Luk and his staff have always treated my mother with respect. She has gotten excellent care and is able to manage her RA much more effectively than she was doing 4 years ago when she began seeing him.

My wife comes to you having been referred by her primary neurologist, she can barely see, your rude staff points and mumbled directions. When she tells them she cannot see well they huff at having to help her. Dr Luk puts in his notes that says ny wife denies having her symptoms, what the heck is that? Then she needs a blood draw and the rude witch that does it has a comment about needing to hurry up and get her out because she smokes and its burning her nose while she herself reeks of cheap perfume applied with a paint brush. I truly hope this will discourage future patients from your incompetence abd rude staff. Jerks!
