Dr. Frank James Mares, MD

I have suffered from glaucoma since before I was diagnosed at the age of 23 y/o with glaucoma. I was told that I would be totally blind within six years; this was in 1972. At that time, I was already blind in the left eye, and losing vision quickly in the remaining eye; no doctor gave me much hope, or, help. In the early 2000's, I heard about Dr. Mares, who at that time was flying to Clovis, NM. From the very first visit, He gave me hope,AND, a diagnosis which made sense. To make a long store short, I will not let anyone else touch my eyes unless absolutely necessary. After many, many procedures, I still have a minute pinhole of vision. He has never given up on me, while others had. You will not find a more compassionate, professional, and patient doctor, or, human being.! Oh, my youngest daughter is now his patient as well....with glaucoma. He has another definite, devout patient.

He is the best. I have always gone to the best and come from another state. I have to say he is the best of them all. He takes his time in examination and is the most thorough in examination. He listens to you and if you are having a problems the staff who is amazing will see you asap.
