I want to thank Dr Frank Dimitrios Virions, MD and his assistant Victoria Verrengia for the excellent care they gave me for the TOPS procedure so I would not have to have my spine fused. From the initial consultation to the procedure and the aftercare was the best. A special shout out to Victoria Verrengia for her attentiveness in the post op and the aftercare.

Let me start by saying that I’ve been a metastatic breast cancer patient for over two decades, undergoing a multitude of procedures, chemo protocols, radiation treatments, Cyber-Knife, etc. So as you might imagine, in such a long and harsh journey I’ve seen and compared medical practitioners from around the USA as well as globally (in Europe & LatAm). Dr. Vrionis’ profound knowledge, genuine care, and empathetic approach are remarkable traits seldom found in today's healthcare landscape. My personal experience undergoing THREE surgeries with Dr Vrionis, one on my spine (mid 2021), and TWO on my brain (frontal lobe in 2021, and temporal lobe recently in Nov 2023), was nothing short of exemplary. Dr. Vrionis showcased impeccable planning throughout all procedures, ensuring a flawless execution. His meticulous care extended seamlessly from the hospital setting to post-operative care at home. Initial call the receptionist told me I had to have a referral and it was illegal to pay out of pocket. They called back, it's not illegal the practice doesn't accept cash pay? Hmmm. Then I get to my appointment (after not needing a referral) 30 mins early for a 10:10am. At 10:45am, 35 mins past my appointment I am told there are 10 people a head of me. This Dr will only waste your time. Run from this office as fast you can and anyone who recommends him.

Dr Vrionis and his entire team provided a very good patient care experience from the beginning of my case to the end. Everyone was extremely knowledgable and professional. I would highly reccomend them should You have any spinal issues.

Dr Vrionis is a superb, knowledgeable, smart, neurosurgeon with a caring nature and human touch (scarce nowadays in the medical community), who always seeks for excellence and has the patient’s best interest at heart. He provides different scenarios, with sound rationale, pro’s, con’s and makes objective recommendations based on data but also grounded in a genuine care for the patient’s well being. I’ve had two surgeries with him, one in my spine and another in my brain. Both were performed in an impeccable manner, the planning stage was excellent, the post-op in hospital as well as at home were flawless, so net, I highly recommend Dr Vrionis without a shadow of a doubt. He’s the BEST!

MY ADVISE ? THINK TWICE BEFORE GETTING INVOLVED WITH THIS SO CALLED NEUROSURGEON!!! I HAD TWO UNSUCCESSFUL SURGERIES WITH THIS MAN! HE DID NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANYTHING THAT HE DID! STAY AWAY OR YOU WILL REGRET YOUR DECISION! I DID. HE IS A FARCE!
